So what happens? Do the gears get disengaged or chains fall off?? It looks like these cars can't hold up much longer than some certain number of jumps.

What types of truck are these? Like, coming from the RTR RC hobby these trucks look so alien haha. Compared to what I'm used to (T Maxx, Savage, Kraton, etc) these trucks look totally different with the solid axles, 4 wheel steering, etc. Almost like crawlers. Are these hand built RCs? And how's the price range, durability, speed, etc compared to, say, a Traxxas E Revo or Arrma Outcast? It just seems like a totally different category of RC so I'm not sure I should even compare haha. Just never seen anything like these at a hobbyshop.
Most are based off Axial SMT10 or Tamiya Clod Buster platforms but highly modified.

Easy! Real trucks do it all the time. Check out the 1/10th scale version in our last winter series (Dec 2017 through Feb 2018). Lots of great racing and freestyles!

the trucks don't have a second steering wheel for the rear, it's a switch that turns on rear wheel steer

I‘m looking for a beginner MT, 200$ or less and it should have 4wd. For Size i prefer 1:10 scale or smaller like 1:16 or bigger like 1:8. Can someone help me ?
You will not be able to find monster trucks like you see in our videos for $200. However, Axial is re-releasing their SMT10 RTR kit and it is supposed to retail for under $300. All you would need to buy is tires and wheels to make it a full fledged monster truck.

crazycamkalani They are custom build, a mix of various parts. But a good chassis to start is Axial SMT10, CPE Barbarian or Ares.

The vase majority of the trucks in TK are Axial SMT10/Wraith based (shaft-driven like a real vehicle) or Tamiya Clod Buster based (motor attached to axle (MOA) no driveshafts). Hobby stores can usually get some of these base kits, or ebay.

You can start with a Tamiya Clod Buster or Axial SMT10 and go from there. You can buy mod chassis' for either of these at ACRC (on Facebook).

depends on what you want, theres tons of manufacturers,i think the actual grave diggers/max destructions, ect are traxxas, but all companys make monster trucks, certain traxxas ones just have the monster jam bodies, personally, its my opinion you can buy better vehicles, or even build better vehicles for less that the traxxas ones

All different kinds: ACRC, Axial, SCMT, CPE, Freestyle, among others.
