I just hope the emperor didn't punish Jiang Yubin after Ruyi died, and blamed him for not telling the emperor about Ruyi's sickness or for not being able to treat her, although we already know that her sickness is already terminal, but we also know how rude that emperor can be

These scenes made me cry to much for her. I was sad to see her less on the show, but so happy she got what she deserved after all the hardships she had to deal with. If A'ru had only followed the same path, she could've had a good life as well. Suoxin deserved this so much.

Souxin was Ruyi's first daughter, and Ruyi gave her the best, just as Souxin gave Ruyi her best. The love between them was real, and deep, and transcended station.
In the original novel, Ru Yi was buried hurrily without a marked grave and Qian Long even forbid anyone from making offerings to her. After Wei Yan Wan's schemes were uncovered and punished, Qian Long later managed to find both Suo Xin and Physician Jiang, both now old couples at Ru Yi's grave. Turns out they had secretly erected a tomb for her and made offerings for her annually. The grave next to Ru Yi's grave belonged to Ling Yun Che. Suo Xin even told her daughter to pay respect to Ru Yi as her godmother, and that they wouldn't be alive now without Ru Yi. Suo Xin later told the Emperor that Ru Yi had always only loved the Emperor alone, which in the end made Qian Long devastated with guilt upon learning it.

Another commentor stated that in the books Souxin made an alter for Ruyi next to Ling Ychene's. They didn't say anything about Rong Pei. It would be nice if she too was buried with Ruyi.

So scary that as the Empress or a concubine, you're not allowed to leave the imperial palace. Without the freedom to explore, travel, and experience life is so tragic for women in those times. How some of these women were head over heels to become a concubine is beyond me. The schemes and constantly needing to watch your back would drive me crazy.

Yeah, but the second they showed her getting married I knew she was gonna be shown less in the show, or not even at all. I was surprised to see her during the coronation and after that.
