What an amazing character Bruce Gilden is. He's as original as they come and his photography is top notch. The love coming from other street photographers he bumped into is lovely to see here too.
amazing to see a recent video of bruce on the streets of nyc. wish it was longer, and that we could see the photos. basically like a walkie-talkie from paulie b. but anyway, we cant complain! thanks for putting it up
More to come! We will be putting up another interview with him in a few days :) He was lovely but our time with him was short! Hopefully we can do more in the future.
I was driving on the highway in upstate ny last week, I look to my right, and who’s driving right next to me? Mr Bruce Gilden. He looked at me like I was crazy as I was admittedly star-struck.
Does anyone know what flash the guy with the Fuji uses on his Fujifilm X100VI? I've been trying to find a compact yet good looking flash for my own Fuji, this one looks really cool!
Not sure which flash that is but if you're looking for a compact flash for Fuji, you could try and get your hands on the Fujifilm EF-X20. Just an option :)

@@WexPhotoVideo But in another comment you're saying it was shot on an a7siii? Something about the image makes me think it was shot in Raw, or some really good color grading
@@muziektelevisie sorry about that! We shot this one on the A7S III, and the previous profile piece on the R5 - we try to switch up up a lot. Luke is an amazing grader though :)
@@WexPhotoVideo Thank you! the grade is indeed amazing. If indeed a7siii i'm not used to it looking this good. So the outdoor stuff was all a7sIII and the interview was R5? Or the other way around?

How does he get away with it, look at him and then look at me, that's why, he is a white male. I am a person of color. I have many examples, too many while I was on the job and doing street photography of me being stopped or questioned. His photography is awesome,
Ah, c'mon...there's got to be more footage. And where's the images?

This man is an absolute legend.
I must admit the man has balls to do this in NYC.

this guy is so awesome
I've run into him a couple of times over the years. He gets away with stuff I'd never try.
There's certaintly a level of confident needed to pull of this style of photography!
Wow😮
The man, the legend !
3:46 I'm curious about the pic taken by the guy with his monowheel
Can you tell us what camera, lens, flash and wireless connection he is using?
He uses a few different models. Generally, it's a Canon A-E1 with a Canon Speedlite 430 EX
@@WexPhotoVideo
Canon AE-1????
I thought Bruce has famously used Leica Ms for his entire career.
He’s even using one in the video.

It’s always interesting to see how different photographers push boundaries. We won't get access to them on this occasion sadly.
Please do more of these kind of videos!
Thanks for the feedback. We'll get on it straight away :)
