I agree with you on the TXT and Dior partnership. Wish they put more effort into their styling, it really feels like they're being confined to fit a certain "look" for the brand than for the group. Hopefully we get better looks for the boys, they're all so tall and modelesque. Their potential is getting wasted here 😢
Hyunjin is wearing an unreleased piece from the upcoming Versace MFW collection, he is again the first celeb to wear the new collection in public, Versace treat him like a prince, they even call him the Versace Prince
I don’t really know much about TXT but they definitely deserved better on the red carpet. They are all very handsome. Let them show it….. SKZ looked amazing. I love how they still made them look so cohesive with all the different brands. 🥰
Thank you for the video! your opinion is always interesting to hear) I think Stray Kids decided to play safe for their first American award show and I can't blame them cause it's better than go over the top to get ridiculed,. And I have to say I'm impressed how cohesive all their recent red carpet' looks have been because I was worried that the members without a brand ambassadorship will be in huge disadvantage. But overall, in my opinion, their new stylists have been doing great job
I agree that SKZ perhaps could have had a more 'alternative' red carpet, but since it's the first time we can forgive the designer staff🤗 it's true that their stages are practically perfect!💅
Please do a video on the growing brand ambassadorship in K-pop! I feel that many of the big fashion houses are simply dressing their brand ambassadors in what they have/would like to promote, rather than tailoring the looks to suit the artistes or styling them in a way that showcases their personalities.
I (and lots of Stays) would love a full history/breakdown of Hyunjin in Versace from your expert perspective!! Especially considering he’s the first ever Asian amassador AND Donatella’s love and adoration of him!! He truly feels like her newest muse. We all are expecting his fashion week and met gala debut soon, so a full video on his history with fashion and the brand would be Sooooo interesting from an experts perspective!!❤❤❤
I agree with everything you said about TXT. I have such high expectations for their red carpet looks because of how well they usually do and I am so annoyed with Dior but I will keep my calm at the moment haha🤗 The performance was insaaneee tho
i agree with what u said for txt. they need an avante-gard brand deal, not something classic like dior. no hate, but imo their runway looks were slightly giving grandpa vibes, in terms of colour, style, and fit. it was bland imo, and soobin's look was not cohesive. stray kids definitely were better dressed imo for a red carpet and performance, they stood out more. hyunjin's versace ambassadorship is an example of a brand deal gone RIGHT. the looks are unique and match his vibe. the rest of skz as well, they have a consistent aesthetic. although, i wish their red carpet looks were more stand-out, i do get that they were going for a classier vibe.
i dont think i really agree, txt looks good in more edgy stuff, but they still can pull of classic styling. i actually liked heir looks a little more then stray kids (i liked skz stage outfits more thought) i like stray kids, and i like their looks, but they always come in black, and have very similar outfits every red carpet. i wish they would switch it up a little. txt always wears something different, more bold. a little more interessting for me. and i actually think there looks were all really great on this red carpet.
@@manale9366 i do agree that txt can pull of classic (they probably could pull of anything, tbh) i just think that it’s not really their vibe🤷♀️i preferred their earlier runway looks which suited them better. since becoming ambassadors for dior they (and others) already worn looks that resemble these, so i just don’t think it’s that unique or special like txt’s old styling. before, their styling would pop and really leave an impression. they still rock anything though!
No I COMPLETELY agree, everyone in the fandom was so excited about the Dior amabassorship, but as a fashion nerd AND Kpop nerd this was absolutely my worst case senario… what about YSL!?…. What about Saint Laurent!?…. Armani!? What a about even Burberry!? Omgggg ughhhh.
I've only ever been a casually interested observer of fashion and appreciate it as a form of communication. But as a Stay, I have to say I'm really happy with the brand ambassadorships they have gotten so far, and I hope they'll continue to be thoughtful about it in the future. Hyunjin is such a perfect match for Versace. Ever since he started getting styled by them, he just looks... both really like himself, the sensitive artistic person he is, and also like an embodiment of that Northern Italian style. I often see his looks and just recognise it... yes, that's what Versace looks like. And I think that's what makes it a great deal for both sides. It's the same with Felix. I didn't feel like he changed his style at all, or looked notably different once he began to get decked out in only Louis Vuitton this year (which is quite a feat for a brand like that, that is stuck between the heavy weight of their tradition and the need to innovate and stay relevant with the new generation). I'm really curious to see where they will go from here, but the start looks so promising and again, like something that suits both sides so well. I do hope that I.N. will also get to work with a brand soon (looks like Alexander McQueen might be in talks), because he does have a cool personal style, and his most recent looks have suited him so well. I would love to see him fully grow into his own, he is ready for it. But that's also why I'm a bit more... wait and see on the Lee Know/Gucci rumours. Lee Know has never struck me as particularly interested in the fashion-side of KPop, and I don't have a clear sense of what his personal style would be. So, I don't know what to make of it. Who knows, maybe he will surprise us all and unlock that side of him, SKZ are certainly known for always expanding their skills and venturing into new territory, I'd certainly be here for it. I don't know how much of it so far was just serendipity, and how much was good strategy on the side of their stylists. So far, it looks like the SKZ team was careful with their choice in collaborations.
Ah, true about Lee Know. That's why I'll be curious to see what they'll do with him if it happens. The quality I admire the most in Lee Know is his efficiency and balance. He never does more or less than necessary for anything he does. It doesn't seem like much and it can come off as understated, but you never see him slacking and you never see him do something that someone else is taking care of already. So, I guess if they can bring that out in his looks, it could work very well. I don't doubt his professionalism, so I'm sure if he agreed to work with a fashion brand, he'll take it seriously and I'm curious what it will lead to. SKZ is always full of surprises!
Someone gets me: I really don't see Lee Know as a luxury brand ambassador. I know kpop stans think it's cool and NECESSARY but I feel like this time it's pretty random. Hopefully both LK and gucci know what they're doing and are on the same page. It's just that lk never has shown interest in fashion and suddenly we see him all gloomy but dressed in gucci from head to toe. It doesn't seem genuine at all.
@@dreamy_mary I kind of also feel that Lee Know is more of small local brands kind of guy, but that doesn't mean he can't also be a Gucci ambassador. In the end, the brands are looking for Skz members to partner with because the members are becoming more and more influential. With the current looks we've gotten from Gucci so far on him, its mostly been for on stage or chill airport looks. Nothing seems to be particularly unsuitable for him. I don't think saying Lee Know "has never shown interest in fashion" is quite correct. Maybe he's never shown a large interest in luxury brands, but he knows the types of clothes that suit him and his preferences well. Describing him as "gloomy" doesn't feel particular kind either, seeing as that's his resting face a lot of the time, especially at the airport. Even at the VMAs, rather than seeming gloomy because of his clothes, he appeared quite uncomfortable because of the environment he was in. We also have to consider that individual brand deals are made directly with artists, meaning Lee Know would have to consent himself to advertising particular brands and he would be getting the profit for that deal. If he has made the decision himself, I'm not sure why it's not considered genuine. Or do you think he should be putting more effort into his expressions to appear more genuine while he wears such clothes? I just feel you could have worded your comment a little better, I don't mean to be rude by saying any of this.
@@imnotacrybaby 1. I'm sorry if my comment sounded offensive, it wasn't my intention. It's just that I've noticed that LK doesn't look that comfortable lately. He never paraded luxury items; he did magazine photoshoots but afterwards he looks nearly dead from exhaustion and dieting. I know he's a pro idol but the whole gucci ordeal seems to come from the pressure from demanding fans and maybe company rather than his own will. He never showed much interest in fashion, and doesn't really try to do that today. Like Chan who, since getting some givenchy agreement, started posting fashionable insta pics Also imo gucci does not represent LK' character and image and on red carpet Lk is just modelling the suits but the suit for a celebrity should show his character ( does it make sense?) To me it's a bit like the situation txt x dior. Thankfully lk' stage outfits are better. 2. Of course it's just my opinion and I wish LK and skz all the best. tbh I'm not that sure atm that ALL skz are going to be luxury brand ambassadors. At least not now. They're not yet on bts level of fame, and jype seems to be allergic to promote "not-visuals" so I don't see how Han, Seungmin and Changbin could make the name for themselves to get noticed by brands. AND we don't even know if they want it. Overall I think stays and kpop fans have been obsessing over brand deals way too much, forgetting that skz actually love music. Everyone's been fighting with each other and acting like having a bd is the highest form of recognition. Therefore I assume that Han, SM and CB are not worthy of attention? Their talents and work mean nothing? I wish people calmed down and stopped pressuring idols just because they're jealous of their faves' teammate
@@dreamy_mary We all agree that Lee Know x Gucci came out of nowhere. And it looks like it's a bit of a bad timing with their never ending jumping around the world right now. I also heard that he wasn't feeling alright at the last concert? and then he went straight to vmas where he was clearly uncomfortable, probly cause of the language barrier added to the obvious pressure of the event itself. Not a great moment to start hinting any brand deal. Hopefully they will get some rest sooner than later. Also I think the majority of stays are just pleasantly surprised and curious whats going to happen with those potential collaborations, and we know kpop has toxic stans, so there will obviously always be toxic takes on every new topic. Also people always discuss the hot topic, so its going to be about LeeKnow, Chan and I.N right now. When Changbin was starting to mingle with Samsung it was THE topic in stayville
It genuinely crushes my soul that this may be all we get for the foreseeable future for Tubatu... Yeonjun's suit was gorgeous and I do think it fits him for certain events, BUT... overall I hate that Dior is just throwing designs at them and not considering them at all 😭 Like c'mon, you've got a famously gorgeous group of men, bring something to the table, they're just relying on them being attractive to carry the looks
George, when it comes to TxT? What couture brand would you choose for TxT? So far, the only DIOR I've like for TxT were the customized outfits they wore for their opening set at the 2023 Lollapalooza. Those outfits were edgy and showed off the member's tall lean builds. TxT's VMA stage outfits suited them perfectly. Stray Kids were incredible in both their pink carpet and stage outfits.
I swear, Dior's ambassadorships have been so hit and miss for years. Some work brilliantly, some just make me wonder 'why are you giving this outfit to this person? They are not a match at all!'
there is also rumors that jeongin will be ambassador for alexander mcqueen, he have even posted about them in his stories and commented on their posts on ig
Yeonjun’s outfit was fine and it feels it matches his vibe. The rest are just… not it. These Dior looks just does not work for them (tbh it’s very hard to wear for probably 99% of the population). I think they suit the more polished, sleek look much better for formal events like award shows.
@georgehollins you give an incredible fashion perspective that most Stays aren’t aware of!! I think a lot of us would REALLLYYYY love a more in depth look at WHAT IT MEANS for Hyunjin and Felix (and rumored Bang Chan, Lee Know, and I.N) to be brand ambassadors. Does this mean that’s the only thing they can wear? How much of a bag are they getting? What can we expect from their appearances at fashion week? What does the attitude of the brand indicate toward the specific person that’s been targeted in the group!? Like is Versace sexy so that means Hyunjin is sexy? In that vein, What is the general mood of each brand and how well does it match to each member associated with each brand so far… but also, what does future styling look like for the members like Han, Seungmin and Changbin who aren’t indicated to be fashion ambassadors so far!? Will they typically share from a brand from another member like Han did at the VMAs wearing Versace!? Also what does it mean that their individual brand were worn to award shows… but the day after, they were collectively announced as Tommy Hilfigure ambassadors as a group. How does that affect their ambassadorships individually!?!?!? Would LOVE your expert opinion on all of that!!!
Donatella choose Hyunjin because she believes that he is very talented and had that Versace attitude and he really does. Look at him he really is a true Versace man. Han worn Balmain at the VMAs and since Hyunjin and Felix are already gba and house ambassador they will wear their respective brands. As for other members there's rumours about Lee know, in and bang Chan that they'll be gba of Gucci, Alexander McQueen and Givenchy resp as they are seen wearing those brands alot. For other members i think they can wear other brands but the other members who are gba they will only wear the brands they endorsed when they are in public. There's also rumuors that Han is likely to be ba of a French luxury brand but I'm not sure . Also regarding Tommy Hilfiger ambassadorship the group can endorsed them since Tommy is more like premium brand and don't clashes with other luxury brands like Versace, Givenchy, Gucci, Alexander McQueen or Louis Vuitton. So the members who are brand ambassador can endorsed Tommy Hilfiger as a group. Again i might be wrong but also true 😊
everyone else basically turned up naked lol.... stray kids and txt looked so beautiful and poised and stylish. not everyone have to fall down to the ugly standard of the vma trends....
omg I've never really been interested in fashion but you talk about it so beautifully, I cannot help but be intrigued like, wow, you can view it that way thank you!! I'm subscribing ❤❤❤
Hyunjin will be attending the Versace show at Milan FW on the 22nd, its his first show as GBA, i look forward to your review on the show and his look 😊
seemingly hybe was too eager to get an ambassadorship for txt since there is some sort of competition among boy groups and the company clearly has some connections with dior because Jimin and Herin from NewJeans are ambassadors for the brand. so far TXT' looks have not impressed me. then again, maybe the fans love them
Besides individual Ambassadorships of the members. Stray kids as a Group also had been announced as Tommy Hilfiger's New Asia Brand Ambassador recently 🎉
It’s so true the stage looks were infinitely better! Loved your reaction/analysis and would absolutely be interested in your thoughts on these brand ambassadorships in general
I dont follow txt but they were always talked about for their award show looks, even if I didnt particularly like some of them. I was surprised to hear them become ambassadors, it feels like it would be restricting their style and image going forward, though there might just be some things theyve already planned for this Idk
Honestly I like classic outfits like Skz'ones, especially the fact that they will always have the best because each member is sponsored by a different brand. It's not the same with TxT and honestly I don't think Dior can catch their essence. It would have been better a brand for each member or in general a different brand for the group. Obviously it's just my opinion and I can understand why Dior chose them. It's like dressing models for the runway.
I believe IN was wearing alexander mcqueen and he has been doing so quite often + he has been given gifts by them so we are keeping an eye on that possible announcement as well 🤭
i expected more extravagant looks for skz too, but even if they were a little more low key each one was perfect for them imo also i’m biased cause i love alexander mcqueen, but innie ate that look
I think people don't understand that this is the mtv vmas. This award show is where celebs take risk with their fashion. They wear the most unique, absurd, crazy fashion. This is the only award show where anything goes. With skz they play it safe to where it looked boring, I know it's their first us debut, but it was typical kpop red-carpet. TXT outfit was really out there , the fit was off but i think they pulled it off by being tall and looked model - esq but I think it worked for this particular award show. Fashion is about taking risks and working with what u have and I think txt did that despite the fits. As far as the Stage outfits both groups outfit matched the songs being performed. i liked txt ones better. As for the red carpet both groups did hit it .... one was to boring and the other too out there.
i also would have liked to see SKZ wear something a little out there for the vmas carpet but they did look great. also i'm pretty sure Seungmin is wearing ALYX. I think most of them have worn ALYX a few times in the last year or two. I also don't get the dior and TXT collab lol. I love that they are being acknowledged by big brands but i don't think what they've been given to wear is working but at least the vmas look was better? I thought that SKZ's palette was a little weird but i still kinda ended up liking it lol I.N, Changbin, and Han had my favorite performance looks i think. And TXT's looks went well with the performance i like the movement the fringe gave. I'd love to see a video about kpop and brand ambassadorship!
I agree 100% with what you're saying about these looks, George. I don't know that much about fashion, but I'm learning from you! I would be interested in a video about the brand ambassadorships. For example, who would have selected txt's outfits? Their own stylists or Dior's? Do the guys have any say in what they wear, or do they have to do what they're told? What about the hair and makeup? For stage outfits, they have to be able to dance, which must affect what is chosen. In the case of SKZ, when different designers are used, how do you think they come up with something that looks cohesive?
Love your videos, they are so interesting! Can you do an explanation of how and when the brand styles the ambassadors vs the groups stylists? I didn’t realize that the brands had so much say in exactly what the members wear during these events.
In my opinion, Dior is such a boring brand for menswear. Really wish the would’ve at least given soobin a blazer or jacket to match the others more. Skz played it safe but looked cohesive. The stage looks for both groups were great! Hoping that we get more interesting red carpet looks for both groups now that brand partnerships are involved.
To be fair It looks like skz stylist kind of playing safe on dressing them for the red carpet. Hopefully they will change it to more skz style of look on the next VMA’s.
love your reactions (although i just see the skz stuff, sorry). But i missed the voting/grading (?) at the end. looking forward to all upcoming award show fashion reviewa from you.
I love TXT performance outfit but their red carpet was meh. I mean they definitely different but seriously, the dior brand definitely didn't fit into txt 'style' cuz its too boring... don't get me wrong, dior is my fav brand ever! (i have so many of their makeup and bags) but it's so frustrating to watch 😣 (thankfully their visual outshines everything 😍) and i wish they up their game for end of year awards and upcoming events 🙏 PLEASE
honestly it broke my heart that rakta left cause i knew there would be a change in txts styling, but this dior thing is crushing my soul … where is the txt in the txt styling ….
George pls correct me if I'm wrong... TXT is the Brand Ambassador of Dior not global ambassador right ? n Felix is the LV new Global Ambassador ( House Ambassador ) right not brand ambassador beacuse u call the exact opposite in ur video.. so pls educate me
I don't like how skz stylist keep styling Lee Know because he keeps style him so simple, same style for him over and over again (mostly plain white shirt and black pants for performance, pants that he wore for vma performance is the similar style with lollapalooza and K gloval HDAwards), and LK always gets problem with his outfit 😔 and he clearly showing that Lee Know is not his favorite member by excluding/cutting off him from his IG posts.. it's so disrespectful and unprofessional 😔 i wish they stop work with that stylist @/doooho

My performance favorite was Changbin and makes his silhouette so masculine. It also fits the theme perfectly 🔥
there is also rumors that jeongin will be ambassador for alexander mcqueen, he have even posted about them in his stories and commented on their posts on ig
I was waiting for you to talk about how the tail on Felix's red carpet. Was happy you mentioned the performance jacket 😊
🔥🔥BEOMGYU🔥
AME EL OUTFIT DE BEOM EN LA PRESENTACIÓN...
agree w the txt dior comment 🥲
Yeonjun’s outfit was fine and it feels it matches his vibe. The rest are just… not it. These Dior looks just does not work for them (tbh it’s very hard to wear for probably 99% of the population). I think they suit the more polished, sleek look much better for formal events like award shows.
i liked all the outifts from there red carpets tbh
Hyunjin🔥
i loved stray kids stage outfits....it looked like it was designed for them
STRAY KIDS KILLIN IT!!!!!!! 🖤🖤🖤🖤🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Would LOVE your expert opinion on all of that!!!
oo I agree those are such a good questions
YEONJUN TE AMO♥︎
everyone else basically turned up naked lol.... stray kids and txt looked so beautiful and poised and stylish. not everyone have to fall down to the ugly standard of the vma trends....
I am absolutely not mad at Stray Kids keeping it classy!!
omg I've never really been interested in fashion
but you talk about it so beautifully, I cannot help but be intrigued
like, wow, you can view it that way
thank you!!
Thank you for another great video and insights, please do the one for embassadors. ❤❤❤
Thanks George - love hearing your thoughts on our fave K idols x
i would love to watch a vid on kpop brand ambassadorships !!
It’s so true the stage looks were infinitely better! Loved your reaction/analysis and would absolutely be interested in your thoughts on these brand ambassadorships in general
Stray kids looked so good ❤
Hi, George. Its my first time leaving a comment in your videos. I think your work is amazing!
I believe IN was wearing alexander mcqueen and he has been doing so quite often + he has been given gifts by them so we are keeping an eye on that possible announcement as well 🤭
YESSSSSSS YAASSSSSS HEHE STRAY KIDS AND TXT
i expected more extravagant looks for skz too, but even if they were a little more low key each one was perfect for them imo
also i’m biased cause i love alexander mcqueen, but innie ate that look
Thank you for the video!!! ♥️🔥
Stray kids the best outfits ❤
I.N future Alexander McQueen global ambassador when 👀🔥
I agree 100% with what you're saying about these looks, George.
Yep, I agreed your opinion on TxT❤❤
To be fair It looks like skz stylist kind of playing safe on dressing them for the red carpet. Hopefully they will change it to more skz style of look on the next VMA’s.
seungmins blazer is 1017 alyx 9sm
Off topic, but babe your hair looks AHHH-maxing!!
Minho Gucci ambassadeur ???!!! OMG 😻🖤🖤🖤
BANG CHAN GIVENCHY AMBASSADEUR ?!!! 😻🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
me encanto tu reseña hacia straykids, espero por mas
Felix’s red carpet jacket was cropped at front with tails at the back
Felix 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You might disagree but I loveeeee Yeonjun’s red carpet look
Did you not notice the tail on Felix cropped jacket.
Do the video!! I want to see what you have to say about this.
love your reactions (although i just see the skz stuff, sorry).
I love rakta style. It was sad that rakta not work with bighit/txt anymore ,she left the team.. i truly felt the fashion change too , such ashamed 😢
yeah i remember some moas hate rakta bc she keep wearing txt shorts and now rakta not working for bighit some moas want her back bcs of dior 😭
Hyunjinaaa❤
Can u pls do back for more reaction!!!✨🤍
honestly it broke my heart that rakta left cause i knew there would be a change in txts styling, but this dior thing is crushing my soul … where is the txt in the txt styling ….
Txt ❤
How did you completely miss Felix’s coat tails on the back there?
When are you doing a video on Jimin's outfits?
TXT really saved the VMAS for me
George pls correct me if I'm wrong... TXT is the Brand Ambassador of Dior not global ambassador right ? n Felix is the LV new Global Ambassador ( House Ambassador ) right not brand ambassador beacuse u call the exact opposite in ur video.. so pls educate me
Yepp you're right TXT are brand ambassadors and Felix is house ambassador ( lv call their gba as house ambassador)
I feel like really no one understands the TXT and Dior ambassadorship (or likes it 😬)
I don't like how skz stylist keep styling Lee Know because he keeps style him so simple, same style for him over and over again (mostly plain white shirt and black pants for performance, pants that he wore for vma performance is the similar style with lollapalooza and K gloval HDAwards), and LK always gets problem with his outfit 😔 and he clearly showing that Lee Know is not his favorite member by excluding/cutting off him from his IG posts.. it's so disrespectful and unprofessional 😔 i wish they stop work with that stylist @/doooho
dior is not suitable for txt 😭
And look at what your wearing lol😂….you should start finding another seriously
atleast txt didn't look like waiters bro
