It’s really kind of cool for kids.
My 4 year old daughter LOVES these! She’s Barbie OBSESSED! She’s getting the Barbie camper, the Barbie Dreamhouse, tons of barbies and I have a few of these ordered from Amazon too!! And the little Chelsea mermaid ones for her as well!

I do wish that the tail was all the same and didn't have a seam. I prefer these to the others though because they don't have a bad wig which I hate.
Hey Melissa, I figured something out. You remember how the one tube was leaking through the hole in the lid when you tried to show us the blue (I think) metallic water? I bought one of the Chelseas and discovered that the tab used to hang the tube on the peg at Target folds down and snaps into that hole. It effectively seals it so that you can save the cylinder/water without leaks or just fold the tab out of the way.
I’m kinda iffy about the color reveal dolls as a whole but I think the mermaids are kinda cute

These are beautiful Mermaid Barbie dolls, love the tail and hair colour and make-up, and cool how they change in the different weather also, so the will be a different colour from summer to winter. Will definitely have to get some of these dolls. Awesome fun review 😍💙

I recommended these and the regular Color Reveal dolls to my coworker whose daughter is going through the "put Barbie in the tub" phase and is ruining her dolls' hair. I told her how the regular ones have a plastic pixie cut, so no potential to ruin the hair on those ones, and I have a feeling I know what she's getting her kids for Christmas.

I saw a barbie for $7.99 in a swimsuit today and i thought why can't color reveal be that price. Then i remember paying for the color changing experience lol 🤣 i remember when could get a basic barbie in a bikini for $5 not anymore lol

I've been wanting to get this doll, but I don't see it anywhere on Amazon for $14.99. Is it because it's not available for international shipping? The only ones I find are priced $20 or more.
It's $14.99 in US funds and she's in the States so would be over that for other countries. I clicked on her link and it said $14.99 but $7.32 I think for shipping to Canada.

Okay these are cool but I wish the bottom of the mermaid tail was completely rainbow color and such all the way around. It looks half done for the bottom of the doll. Mattel is getting lazy by not completing the whole tail of color.

@@raychu4829 true but it's Barbie. I kinda hold them to a higher standard. If they can make articulated dolls they could do the whole mermaid tail. Just a thought.

I’m sorry but I do not understand this obsession with these dolls and the paint lol. It does absolutely nothing for me at all.
You're entitled to your opinion but I can see them being a hit with my niece's so will be getting them as gifts.
if you just like the water part, invest in mica pigments, its the exact effect and costs pennies. its such a waste of plastic and money for lower quality ugly dolls.

She’s also a doll collector so for her it’s a good for both those reasons plus she gets money from making vids for those of us who enjoy watching her reveal them

Though a regular barbie would be higher quality the whole color reveal part is a one time only gimmick then the doll will most likely be forgotten as they aren't as nice or come with those hideous wigs and painted on tops
