I was going to comment the same thing. I live in Japan and Too Faced is HUGE here. I personally buy a lot of TF products in Japan since it's western-style makeup, for example finding a medium foundation from local brands is almost impossible. Same with pigmented eyeshadows or bronzers. So yeah, I fell in love with TF again.
I mean...the packaging is cute and they're Cruelty-Free with decent products and some hero ones, so. Everyone loves cute. There's...those that don't (I couldn't live a life like that), but most do. Especially in THESE times? I want happy shit yo.
Also she tries to market this as the reason why she's got a perfect skin..... *sigh* she uses the Kylie marketing. Sis we KNOW why your skin is perfect...
Just so you know, don't be fooled by things being labeled "biodegradable" its not a legally defined term and pretty much means nothing because all plastic can technically be called biodegradable because it eventually breaks down (mostly just into micro plastics which glitter already is) its textbook greenwashing. If you want to be eco look for "certified compostable" and things like that but make sure you research and don't just trust what brands tell you 😊👌

I'm pretty sure there are regulations in Australia regarding whether or not something is compostable but I haven't heard of any regarding biodegradability. Dior and Chanel keep putting sponge brushes in their shadows because of old-ass ladies like me who still use them (though only for lining my eyes). I assume their target market is still women who are middle-aged or older, so it’ll probably be a while until those little brushes disappear, lol.
Starting in January, china is no longer going to be testing cosmetic products on animals so there will be a lot more brands that will then be considered cruelty free next month :)
@@LetsBiiny pretty much companies who import cosmetics to china are allowed to test other ways without animal testing. This doesn't include things like hair dye, sunscreens, really specific items, but does apply to all basic makeup items. Also, according to people who work in makeup manufacturing industries, post market testing doesn't really happen anymore. If something would go wrong after the product goes out, the product is 99% of the time just pulled from the market. Pretty much one big makeup company is going to probably end up finding a way to test a different way, and most companies will follow suit. It probably won't happen right on the first of January, but hopefully will happen soon. If you want more details there's a FB page called bunny army who went really deep into what it means and went through the process of reading the english translation of the law and interpreting it.
I am so sad about it! I once got a sample of their moisture surge for free from Mecca and really liked how it worked for my skin, only to find out they weren't cruelty free 😅

2:11 I get how those brushes may seem useless to you and most people, but I love them. I like to keep it simple with my makeup and carrying so much stuff is a hassle. Simple little pallets or 3-5 eyeshadows and those small brushes are just enough.
I remember justifying eye shadow palettes that size on how I could use one palette for everything when I was younger. These are marketed to younger people or make up novices in my opinion 🙄

im literally wearing 25mm lashes rn and ngl theyre not for everyone. when i first wore them i thought "wtf am i wearing i look weird" but then i made myself wear them because they cost money !! so yeah and now they kinda grew on me and i think i look hot with them. it really depends on what type of person you are and how comfy you are with oversized long spidery lashes. also if you wanna try them: they will feel very heavy at first !

That crayon box palette is the ugliest and messiest thing I've seen in a while... first of all, why do I get a weird sense that when you close the sides the big pans won't be covered? Is this meant to be edgy or whatever? The shades are all over the place and so many of them are repetitive. And I can't get over the colour of the palette itself. I feel like my eyes would hurt just from looking at it before I even got the chance to decide on the shades I'd want to use. I hate when companies do that and it seems deceptive as hell. When I see some messy background to the pans I always think to myself 'what are you trying to hide luv?'
I hate chalky-like basic colors, you know? Like I absolutely hate that pink in the lower right of the middle panel. It reminds me of pepto bismol and cheap art sets you got at the age of 7 every year from your grandparents because you drew a bit.

Also, they need to approve for non Chinese testing data (testing without animals) in case there’s any raw ingredient, pigment, etc. Otherwise they will conduct further animal testing. It is a step forward to being CF but we shouldn’t get out hopes up yet. We still don’t know if the measures taken will be enough as post market testing will still be allowed.
Angelika actually spoke about PF not being cruelty free anymore & that she will finish her butter bronzer &be done with the brand so i think she just forgot that 😂😂😂
i actually love too faced eye shadow, even if the packaging is tacky they're a great first palette, such as the peach palette (when i say first palette i mean your first nice palette, obviously i wouldn't give a 5 year old a too faced palette), i dunno for me the peach palette was my first proper palette and i still use it to this day (don't care if it's expired lmao still works perfectly), it's such a nice assortment of shades with many many different directions you could go in - a cool toned shimmery pink look, a peachy pink coral look, a cool glam shimmery smokey, a grungey dark look.
I never paid any attention to luxury makeup until I started getting into kpop. A lot of kpop idols, specifically Blackpink, are ambassadors for luxury brands. The 4 members are for YSL, Dior, Chanel and Mac. It's so interesting because most people consider these brands for rich, middle aged women, yet in Korea, their ambassadors are like 23-25 I believe. Maybe they're trying to get into the young market, after seeing how much young people spend to be like their fave idols.
I love buying eyeshadow palettes. Gosh, I absolutely adore them. But my absolute number one favourite thing to buy is brushes. I draw and tools are everything in that department, so I'm always on the lookout for good brushes. Sonia G's brushes are so incredibly good. I love seeing how people have different tastes in makeup.
I have to tell you the new fenty cream gloss is AMAZING.i think you should try it they are such a good formula and not super opaque to me and still shiny
