- Apple pie without the apple!!!! Yep, you read that right.. lol...

Ingredients for the filling
30 Ritz crackers, left whole
2 cups water (16oz)
1 cup granulated sugar (227g)
2 tsp cream of Tarter (10g)
1/2 tsp cinnamon (2.5g)
1 tbsp lemon juice (15ml)
Ingredients for the crumb topping
20 Ritz crackers, crushed
1/2 cup brown sugar (115g)
1/2 tsp cinnamon (2.5g)
1/3 cup butter, melted (78ml)
Pie shell, I used a store bought one
In a saucepan add the water, sugar and cream of Tarter, bring to a boil
Add the whole Ritz crackers and slow boil for 5 minutes
While that boils mix together in a bowl
Melted butter, cinnamon and brown sugar
Add the crushed Ritz crackers, mix well
Let the filling cool about 5 minutes
Add it to your pie shell
Drizzle with the lemon juice and cinnamon
Top with the crumble
Cover the edges with foil so they don't burn
Air fry 425°F/220°C for about 5 minutes
Turn the heat down to 375°F/190°C and cook an additional 15 to 20 minutes removing the foil the last 5 minutes...
All air fryers are different so just keep an eye on it
Allow to cool about 30 minutes
Enjoy!!!!

Mock apple pie has always been one of my favorite recipes and gotta say it is one of the reasons I decided to start a RUclips channel!!! It is such an incredible thing- but never did it in an air fryer- so fun!!!

@@anniessmokingpot my daughter has made mock before and says it tastes like apple but I wanna compare lol . The also have a mock pecan pie which I’ve made a long time ago and I think it’s taste is close but the texture is a little different if I remember correctly .
