Somehow, you and Fred Serval coordinated to make me laugh this morning. Thank you! I needed the humor!!!!!!! Though, I do disagree that the Romans could be quite Ticky Tacky. What do you expect from of people who ran around in sheets. Nick Stasnopolis
It would be interesting to see an episode on thematic antipodes, two games on the same topic where one is “just dripping theme” and the other lands you straight in the sausage factory. Maybe Stone Age vs Neanderthal. Battleship vs. U-Boot: The Board Game.
For its deeply immersive yet fleetingly indifferent examination of all the glory of the ancient world, Seven Wonders surely deserves an honorable mention.
I'm troubled, nay offended, that no one here mentioned Dungeons and Dragons. I know you are tabletop historical snobs, but no game has ever captured everyday medieval life as well, and your omission is well-nigh criminal. :)
What a hoot. Finest adaptation of historical 1970s summer resort management: "Jaws".
Brilliant!
The historical scholarship evident in these games is amazing ... my mind is also so blown right now! 🤯
😉
Welcome to April!
I don’t know how we will top this level of insight but… we must try.

Glad you had fun with us today! :D
Disappointed this turned-out as a joke - but I guess it was recorded on April Fools Day.

You know, that was my #6. ;)
It was on my short list as well
"it was a blood bath." 🤣
You really have to watch your back in monasteries.
no Caveman? (ode to Zee...)
That remains one of my favorite videos that I have ever been a part of.

Nothing has taught me more about historical Scottish conflict resolution than Schotten Totten.
Oh no, how could we have missed this obvious one? Sometimes I really do let my elitism cloud my judgment.
Feel like an idiot now. Thanks Liz 😂 I skipped through the video and was so disappointed with your choices 😂😂😂
I'm pretty sure Andrew and I are the idiots! :D
You've got me 😂
Haha, excellent! 😂
Ha. Ha.
