She was right tho. His product is useless, call centers are already equiped with call-back systems, and they don't "turn you employee to an outbaound caller on the next cycle". Everything is done trough softphones and all day long you will have inbound and outbound calls comming up, and flagged respectively on your screen. Call centers would have no interest to implicate a third party. Great product, the dragons were turned off immediately at £150k for 1%, couldn't accept the valuation without even understanding the company. Usually prefer cheap small investments at £50k or thereabouts, so well out side the normal comfort zone.
The problem was he immediately got them on the defensive with the valuation. He is in the wrong place to offer 1% for any amount of money. They are just not going to be interested, they're not angel investors that can just workout the likelihood and potential of profit and take a punt and sit back, they are hands on investors that want to contribute time and their expertise to a business enterprise, for that they want more than just the projected market value that some company valuer has slapped on the company based on it's possible potential. You don't come on dragons den if you're not willing to give the dragons a very good deal in return for their time, effort and contacts. This is something many people who pitch on that show seem to miss. Once he'd pissed them off with the valuation the rest was futile.

@@susanwaugh3885 Maybe they have edited the version shown on TV even heavier for the RUclips account. Although, I definitely know they don't show the full thing on TV as Peter Jones himself said the pitches can last for hours on end it's trimmed down to a smaller segment which we see on TV. The editing will just look more natural on TV, not too sure why they have decided to trim it even further for their RUclips account, though.
They obviously weren't used to an entrepreneur who wasn't willing to give away his firstborn child. The fact that he could readily answer all their questions and justify the valuation insulted them even more

That's true of Business life and you are right. When you are relatively inconsequential and not a rival they like you because you're " harmless". Watch what happens when you are perceived as a threat :)
I'm I missing something or did they all miss the fact that what he was saying was correct... If I call center agent is making outbound calls, they can't take incoming calls at the same time. I don't really get why she shot him down over that statement.
Except that is not actually how the current versions of those systems usually work, rather they remember your place in the inbound queue and the computer system calls you back when an agent is ready to answer it. Typically the reconnection is done when an operator ends their previous call and you are next in line to be answered, usually you will get a 1-2 minute wait after it calls back while the operator is finalising the notes on the previous call before hitting the accept call button. In fact a lot of them don't even bother to tell the operator the automatic redial was even used as it makes zero difference to their job whether you listened to music in the inbound queue for half and hour or simply waited for the inbound queue system to reconnect you when it was your turn. For big call centres that often have as many calls idling in the inbound queue as they have actual calls being serviced simultaneously the savings of not having to pay for hundreds of extra simultaneous voice channels due to most of the inbound callers being in a virtual queue can make it worth paying the call cost for automatic redial too. Though using an external service provider to do that job can bring the same savings too and can be a better option for companies running old call handling software without virtual queue support licences for business software like this are often extortionately expensive if you need an upgrade to get new features.
Seraphina not all companies offer that return call and also - if the company you are calling has the same issue of busy periods, then a callback is going to be less priority than taking inbound. I used to work in a call centre and would have to request time off the inbound service to call banks as it would take around 30 minutes to get through. I've used weq4u personally for years as they find free numbers instead of premium numbers. They saved me a fortune trying to contact student loans back when I was at uni.
@@frannehxpoopz Eh once again I am not talking about requesting an agent callback because that is irrelevant to WeQ4U's business plan. I am however talking about holdless inbound queing which is what WeQ4U's business plan proposes to sell to companies that already own an in house IVR system that can do the same thing simply by turning it on. If it helps when you request the former the inbound queue handling system happily logs your call as completed in the inbound call log and hands your request off to the system responsible for followup calls yay someone elses problem. When you request the latter the inbound call handling system simply modifies the inbound queue entry to store the target phone number and set the associated external line ID to null so that it will assign a free external line and run the dialing sequence and then connect the external line to the internal extension over the switchboard just like it would if it had been connected the entire time.
Because an agent taking an incoming call also cannot take incoming calls. You can only take one call at a time. It doesn't matter if it's incoming or outgoing, it take the same length of time to speak with the caller and resolve their problem. I honestly don't understand what people like you are thinking. You seem to think that if the call is incoming it magically takes less of the agents time to solve the customer problem and thus they can take extra calls. Please explain your reasoning because it makes no sense to me.
@@waywardwind9279 I thought the same thing, there's basically no difference in call times between inbound or outbound, and callback requesters should be in the same queue as people waiting on the line so there's no "backlog" there either. The only point where it might make a difference is in who is paying for the call.
He got a point half the call backs the company I worked for was meant to be done was never done, you weren't allowed to go outbound if your job is strictly inbound

he explained fk'all...
There would be an interest for the individual tho, since instead of having a callback in say 1 hour, you just have your phone "wait for you" a couple minutes while you do something else instead of listening to those universally obnoxious elevator tunes

The problem was he immediately got them on the defensive with the valuation. He is in the wrong place to offer 1% for any amount of money.
Another one for lunch time. Thank you
That's a guy that won't get ripped off by no tv show investor, if they only invited people this smart to the show the dragons would go bankrupt.
