That one really got me because I had my wisdom teeth out on Tuesday 😂 but I don't have any funny videos, I was pretty lucid when I woke up. I remember having a nosebleed from the breathing tube and asked the nurse to bring over the lunch bag that I brought all my meds in because I had a little tube of nose lubricant (our winters get very dry, tho I never get nosebleeds normally) and asked for a q tip so I could apply it myself, within 5 minutes of waking up from surgery lmao
Maybe it's because I requested to not have any opioids because they make me super sick (comes from my mum's side of the family. The two times I was given some for a procedure I was 🤮 for hours) so it could be that people are normally loopy from opioids given during surgery?
Oh nvm I looked it up, anesthesia just makes some people a little loopy when they wake up. I'm a redhead tho, the mutation also causes faster metabolism of anesthesia so maybe that's why it wore off quickly. I went right to my pharmacy afterwards to get my prescription filled and I had to keep using a tissue to soak up blood from my mouth and nose. Every few minutes I'd turn away from anyone nearby, pull down my mask, use a tissue, then put it in my pocket and use hand sanitizer while I waited the 15 minutes to get the meds. When asked what the prescription was for, the pharmacist was like 🤨😮 when I said "oh it's for wisdom tooth surgery. I woke up an hour ago and the numbing is wearing off because I metabolize it quickly so I had to come get it filled right away" then when they asked how many teeth were removed and I said three they were like 😧😳 because I was up and about and seemingly normal, just talking a bit muffled and raspy. But I'm used to that kind of reaction from medical professionals, I have a condition that causes dislocations from having loose joints and they're always a little horrified to hear how much pain I'm used to being in and the fact that I just casually put my bones back in place 😅
