You can leave out of Newport Beach, or Long Beach or San Pedro. Buy the ticket and make a reservation online. Out of Newport Beach, go to www.catalinainfo.com/. There was a guy who puked over the railing at the back of the boat, not too far from where I was standing. Unfortunately, I was not quick enough to capture it on video. But if you are prone to seasickness, you might consider taking a dramamine prior to departure. -WMM
only on the interior decks, not the exterior, but even then very loosely enforced. Some people chose to wear a mask on the exterior upper deck, out on the open seas, with the equivalent of 40mph winds blowing.
