Watching in 2020 wondering why we can't, as a people, find and elect people that will not absolutely hate members of the other party. It's almost like Paul Ryan was told before this speech to look at the President like he was an idiot the entire time. As children, most of us, we are raised to be kind to other people, regardless of what differences we have. But when it comes to elected officials, we as a people are just as much to blame at the division in our country for not electing people who are willing to get along and stop the partisan gridlock. We need more actual leaders in this country that will put aside which side of the aisle they are on and actually see each other as what they are...which is normal people that WE THE CITIZENS elect to serve the public. And they are not serving us at all right now.

Didn't clap for our men and women in the military, didn't clap for working to cure cancer, didn't clap for ending gerrymandering or money in politics, didn't clap for fighting ISIS, didn't clap for making college more affordable for thise who don’t have a lot of money. Republicans haven't been decent for 50 years.
