i'm completely blown away ! whoa ! this is very inspiring. I saw the GH6 getting so much video love and I was starting to get a little bit down on what I could do with my OLY em5mk2, but seeing this is so inspirational.
1080 is still great! 4k would be nice to get the ability to crop in post if i need to. but 1080 still produces a GREAT image, especially on the bmpcc. you probably can snag one of those cheap now that the new one will come out soon. 1080 is still very much capable!
If you need a good entry-level camera, and you like to shoot video, check out the Panasonic G85. It's comparably priced to this camera (including on the used market), and it shoots 4K video...plus the 1080p footage looks better. One of the main issues with video on the E-M5 II is the moire. This is a very nice video, no doubt, but the G85 just smacks this camera around.
Hey, which settings did you use for the video ? (color modes etc) I've got the EM5 II aswell and I'd like to see if I can improve my setiings a bit, thanks
Well I definitely need to take some notes on how you make your video quality so awesome! I try, but I probably need better editing software and maybe a better camera too, or just how to use my camera better haha. For me to post frequently, I set myself a goal to post 2 videos a week on specific days to try to keep myself accountable, which works pretty well. :)
Brian & Kelsey yeah I need to do that also. Setting goals would be super good for me haha. As for software goes Final cut is pretty easy to use, but it’s color grading plug-in is a little different than what I’m use to. I found some really good tutorials on here to help with that. Are you looking to upgrade your camera? I think for the vlogging you do it seems to be working great!! :D
I would definitely want to learn how to use Final Cut, but I haven't decided if it's worth the price. As for cameras, I'm pretty happy with mine. There are a few situations like low light and adjusting exposure, that I wish looked better. Maybe that's user error and not camera weak points though. haha
Welcome to olympus world .. i was a sony shooter, had a hard time with olympus camera. I found it in OMD5 Mii on Menu --> Menu1 --> record mode (icon only , the 4th one) --> select movie --> right arrow button --> then you will get 50 FPS or 60 FPS
just asked my photo pusher to order one for me!I hate filming with Nikons flat log!its mediocre at best!Olympus logs looks nice after some LUTs are used!getting this camera before buying the mkii or the 1mkii next year for 4K video studio settings!!

Great job -- it looks like you really pushed this camera to its limits, which is what you SHOULD do with a camera.
Thanks Daniel! It has been a workhorse that's for sure. Color Profiles are decent for an intro camera. I have definitely learned a lot using it!
