Problem with Dubai is it is basicly large mall in the middle of desert. :) If you like to shop or go to restaurants all the time, it is lifestyle for you, otherwise not good place to live.
It depends.. Dubai is only a city, the country is UAE and there's more to offer than just shopping & malls. But yes ultimately it's for people who's rich and want a quiet, super safe, tax free place to live. It depends on your type of lifestyle

The only difference is that their workers aren't on US soil for example, they're in some third world country but are still being forced to work for practically nothing and in bad conditions.. this is common knowledge.

No one should buy in this tower unless it's actually complete. Dubai has a history of failed development projects where everyone that bought gets scammed with no recourse. Personally I'd recommend NOT buying in a super tall building in the first place, they all have ended up being disasters. If there is a serious fire on say, the 15th floor, how do you evacuate all of the residents from floors 16 to the top, given that fire/hot air will rise via the elevator shafts? Also, how do you safely build a HUGE numerous-story high-rise in only 1.5 - 2 years?

Indeed it is. I went for an 8 day trip to dubai and felt the same. The laws are strict too. You know a lot many people have ferrari & lambs in dubai let alone so many benz and bmw but in dubai max speed anyone could drive is 120km/hr and everyone follows it. Only in one road from Abu Dhabi to dubai there is a 140km/hr zone. In the entire of the country uae there is only one road where you could go 160km/hr idk what that place is. Here in Bangalore India I drive my average suv at 170km/hr at night mostly on highways but still!

What an insane project. Dubai leads the world in terms of pushing boundaries with design of its buildings. The architecture is like no other place. Pairing with jacob and co will produce a trully beautiful building with equally beautiful design features in its apartments. Dubai is a place in the middle of the desert and whats been achieved is unbelievable. I look forward to seeing this building take shape.

But yes, it is extremely safe at all times of day and night, has traffic supervision that is insane, people are very nice, can get the best of booze, but thats where it ends. Just the condo in Florida that collapsed stops me from putting a pool on any top floor.
The pools are not an issue in the slightest. The structure used for buildings of this height can take an incredible amount of load.

Only in one road from Abu Dhabi to dubai there is a 140km/hr zone. In the entire of the country uae there is only one road where you could go 160km/hr idk what that place is.

What an insane project. Dubai leads the world in terms of pushing boundaries with design of its buildings. The architecture is like no other place. Pairing with jacob and co will produce a trully beautiful building with equally beautiful design features in its apartments. Dubai is a place in the middle of the desert and whats been achieved is unbelievable. I look forward to seeing this building take shape.

What a fantastic and eloquent speaker that UAE gentleman was....i dont think his name was mentioned...? I would have named him if I got it, but such a great and nice man he was. The only thing I have against Dubai is the weather and the sheer lack of entertainment after a week. Been there and was bored out of my mind after a week, having done all that Dubai and Sharjah had to offer. So no, I wudnt find myself living there. Not that I can afford any of this but even otherwise. But yes, it is extremely safe at all times of day and night, has traffic supervision that is insane, people are very nice, can get the best of booze, but thats where it ends. There are very few things to sustain someone who has to explore and learn and stuff.
