Even though this was a failed attempt of growing radishes i decided to post it anyways so we can enjoy the plants dancing to Tchaikovsky's waltz of the flowers.
A lot of things went wrong during the making of this video, for example:
They didn't grow any bulbs. Which could be for a number of reasons: temperature too high, pot was too small, soil was too packed or not enough nutrients.
Two of the plants broke of their own weight because of the time lapse setup.
I will make another radish video later. But until then there will be more successful growing videos!

And thank you for uploading this even though it seemed to be a failure. It helps me because my radishes have been sometimes failing in the same way and now I believe both of our problems is too little light.

This is the most honest channel of growing time lapse I've ever seen, even failure is a need to be showed so we'll know, keep it up
I really appreciate you posting this - it is almost more informative than if it had gone right. Making mistakes and learning from them is one of the best ways to learn!

Thanks a lot... I’ve been trying to grow them since March and the same thing happens to me. My friend just throw the seeds in front of her house and grow tons. But now I don’t fell so bad.
But do this : soft soil not packed and put the seed deep in

i would have call this "the life of an alcoholic radish" or "the way back home from the pub"
It might be because there was too much nitrogen in the compost. Too much nitrogen makes them grow more leaves rather than create bulbs. Also they didn't get enough light hence the stretching towards the light.

They need more light, they werent getting enough light and thats why they got "leggy" meaning too tall and spindly in gardening terms
Yes I was just thinking the same thing. And it explains the behavior of some of my radishes that are getting too much shade. They do much better in full sun and they will tolerate partial shade but if they get a lot of shade they've been doing exactly what you've seen here. I agree that from the background tone and color it appears the light is not very strong.

It broken because it was near the edge and had not enough roots. I suggest substrat was coco, not soil

Now we know some radishes have murderous intent.
Im in very early stage and they grow lanky,one which i put chopstick for support,bit what cause them to fall i guess inadequate root support.the stems n leaves are too heavy for the root which is not havent go deep in the ground

When does it grow into an actual radish you can harvest and eat?
It should've grown that instantly but I think these plants
1) didn't get enough light so they grew very tall and weak
2) got too much nutrients which made them decide not to form the radish and bolt
3) seed wasn't planted deep enough.
It's probably a mix of all 3.
Never saw two plants with dramatic life performances

You should've planted the seeds a little deeper. 1 inch deep.

I don’t think any of the seeds where good because the stems where all green instead of red.. nice try tho!
Wait are they supposed to be red? Mine started off with red on it, they're mostly green now with a little red on the stem.

@@biankamoore5094 sometimes when they sprout they don’t develop correctly, so hopefully some of yours are making the radishes.

Poor radish I almost cried............ And it probably failed because you grow it right at the edge where the roots had no space.

Why did they fail?
They didn't receive enough light. Either there wasn't adequate light or it wasn't close enough. It's pretty common.
With this music it looks like there dancing
too much nitrogen - radishes don't need nitrogen rich soil unless growing for grreens - bulbs won't develop

All radishes failed
This has happened to me several times when I've tried to grow them. Could someone explain why it happens?
I think there wasn’t enough light. When they don’t get enough they grow taller to reach the sun. The stem cannot support the leaves because it becomes to tall and weak.
Too shallow for them.
That soil is too dry and the light is too far away.
