Sae-byeok, the north korean girl, saved Gi-hun's soul one last time by stopping him from ambushing a passed out Sang-woo. This final action made her death that much more heartbreaking and to top it all off, she didn't get to hear Gi-hun promise her to take care of the little brother she has. Sangwoo killed her because she said 'I want to go home' before she died. Because if she and Kihun vote to quit the game, it ends without getting any money. That's why she was dying but he killed her in a hurry.
Her death broke my heart more than another episode. She had always had such a hard life and all she wanted was to take care of her family. Nothing she wanted was ever selfish or carnal.
