I think Bron surpassed Bird as the greatest passing SF of all-time. Larry Bird was a savant in the halfcourt but LeBron was more like Magic in that he was great in transition, on the break, or in the half-court set, Bird lack of mobility didn't limit LeBron picks his spot on the court and getting to spots to set up his dimes. His ability to see the court combined with the angles and creativity is above par with any SF in NBA history. At his height, it's only him and Magic in terms of players 6'9 and above with court vision. Right now he's #8 all-time in assist totals and has a great chance to retire in the top 3 spots. That shows you how great his court vision really is.
no offense but you clearly never actually watched bird and are just going on things you heard... bird was a savant in half court but he was just as much a savant full court and in transition.. bird was the best full court passer bar none... and he was awesome on the past break... every bit as good as magic.. they both were not quick fast players... the Celtics were not predominantly a half court team because of bird. it was because of the team. .. when he had the ball after the inbound it was usually a fast break because he wasnt walking it up the court he was passing almost immediately... this is one of the widely disregarded aspect of his game.. he didnt have worthy wilkes nixon scott ... on the break.. he had mchale parish. ... not wingers.... had he had reggie lewis earlier and or bias didnt die you would have seen quite a bit.. but you still did.. bird was big on catching the ball from the hoop after a score and immediately stepping out of bounds and tossing it the full length for a score.. there are a few good bird passing highlights on RUclips... but after you watch the nice looking ones go look for 2 in particular.. one say i think bird rarely seen passing highlights? something to that effect and another one just put out after his birthday. its an hour and also says rarely seen highlights. they have a lot of old poor quality videos that most ppl dont share.. but you see sooo many bird highlights you never see... there is literally like a 5 min clip of him only throwing full court passes like he was jo Montana and right on the money.. and plenty of him on transition pushing the fast break with very much the equal full court vision of magic... .. bird could have played in either system... ive never seen a player be able to find the open teammate like bird... people today say stupid shit like bird had no handles lol.. which is complete bs.. they are just assuming... he was a fantastic ball handler.. and if he had the rules of today where you can palm and carry and travel he would be even better but the fact is people dont know because there isnt a lot of highlights showing him dribbling a lot.. or going full court dribbling around guys or getting out of trouble with amazing ball handling skills... its not because he couldn't.. its because he could find the open man better than those guys showing off their handling... and while they are dazzling with their skills bird instead had the ball passed 20 ft forward to the open man lol... passing is much more efficient than dribbling... go check those vids out and then tell me I am wrong

LeBron James is still the GOAT. He has managed to play and win through the evolution of NBA basketball. Since he scored 25 straight points against the Detroit Pistons (who were the Champs and had forced M.J. to hit the weight room), James has played every position and managed to win Chips with 3 different teams. No one (other than J. Kidd or White Chocolate) has ever passed as well. The clincher is the 2016 Finals... where James led the Cav's back from a 3-1 deficit. NO ONE HAD EVER DONE THIS BEFORE.
1. Lebron doesn’t play center 2. When you say Lebron played with 3 different teams, all you’re saying is that he needed more all stars and hall of famers than other players to accomplish less 3. Lebron is one of the best small forward passers of all time . You’re vastly exaggerating his passing ability. 4. I didn’t know that it’s better to struggle against a team and get down 3-1 to come back as opposed to beating a team in less than 7 games
That left hand pass to K Love to hit that 3 ball was ridiculous, and those back hand dish in the paint to the cutting R.J are done with a great degree of difficulty L.B.J's court vision is next to none.
Transition cutters, baseline cutters, open man in 3, paint cutters. No wonder teams around the league especially those in his conference kick it up a notch in focus. He attacks them in those vital areas with his teammates.

@@brianholleran6340 I won't because you insulted my hoops by telling me I clearly never watched. You don't even know me. So this is the only reply you will get from me. Goodbye and peace out and I said what I said and I meant it and you can't change my opinion.
Bro dwade and lebron chemistry is fucking ridiculous. @1:20 yes lebron knew dwade was there but the crazy part is dwade knew that lebron knew he was waiting in the paint. Look at dwade get set and smile before lebron passes the ball. He knew the pass was coming. Sick 💯🔥
he certainly is a great passer, no doubt!!!
Easy to pass when you bulldoze all your opponents
@@stretch3744 is that what happened in this video?

The greatest
One of the reasons why hes ahead of MJ
20mins assist video clips! Thats insane
That 2017-2018 season. So good but yet that team was such a mess
The chemistry between him and jefferson was a true link up!! I mean damn one look, and jeff was there. Amazing
defo my favorite part of lbj's game
Lbj all around trash
Richard Jefferson was getting up on some of those dunks.
And all of these are from basically the 2012-2019 seasons. Doesn’t include all his assists from 03-2011, which are some of my favs.
This is why I love LEBRON JAMES😍 so haters stop dragging him
7:50 the announcers low key flamed Richard Jefferson on this highlight 😂
LeBron James is still the GOAT. He has managed to play and win through the evolution of NBA basketball. Since he scored 25 straight points against the Detroit Pistons (who were the Champs and had forced M.J. to hit the weight room), James has played every position and managed to win Chips with 3 different teams. No one (other than J. Kidd or White Chocolate) has ever passed as well. The clincher is the 2016 Finals... where James led the Cav's back from a 3-1 deficit. NO ONE HAD EVER DONE THIS BEFORE.
1. Lebron doesn’t play center
2. When you say Lebron played with 3 different teams, all you’re saying is that he needed more all stars and hall of famers than other players to accomplish less
3. Lebron is one of the best small forward passers of all time . You’re vastly exaggerating his passing ability.
4. I didn’t know that it’s better to struggle against a team and get down 3-1 to come back as opposed to beating a team in less than 7 games
Any category of highlight video of LeBron takes forever - the man has done it all numerous times!
Richard Jefferson 😂 He looks funny playing.
0:45 was crazy 🤦🏿♂️
It's crazy that he's on pace to break the scoring record and that's not even the best part of his game
That left hand pass to K Love to hit that 3 ball was ridiculous, and those back hand dish in the paint to the cutting R.J are done with a great degree of difficulty L.B.J's court vision is next to none.
After watching this I can honestly agree Lebron James is really the GOAT!
1:48 Lenolook pass 😂
Might not end up being the all time assist leader but lbj is the greatest passer I've ever seen lbj magic and Jason Williams
that boy white chocolate was something else
That Channing Frye and Kevin Love switch screen play is un-guardable 🔥🔥🔥
18:07 is just sick! There should have been a slow mo replay
0:19 Imagine an opposing player making this pass on like the 3rd possession of game 4 in the finals. I'm taking my ball and going home. 😂😂
Yo what’s good remember Lebron on the heat
Yea 😢 miss those days

Greatest peripheral vision of all time
Transition cutters, baseline cutters, open man in 3, paint cutters. No wonder teams around the league especially those in his conference kick it up a notch in focus. He attacks them in those vital areas with his teammates.
Lebron‘s athleticism has always been the highlight of his career by main stream media but he is playmaking ability is also insane
15:23 Not only is it a remarkable action, it's also very beautiful to look at. Almost perfect. LeBron has sometimes reached true heights of elegance and efficiency in this sport.
Some of those passes beat Magic's , Nash's and many others.

Best passer in the league rn. Top 10 passer currently.
Cap lonzo better
Luka is more specialized in passing
@Lucas Walker bro wtf
only CP3 has an argument
@@shasankamadduri1998 Lucas walker is a homeless drug addict, don’t listen to him
The best court vision since Magic Johnson. LeBron James has the athleticism of Jordan, the vision of Magic all rolled up into the body of Karl Malone. LeBron James is a unicorn, and that is why he is the GOAT.
He’s so strong he can throw a blazing bounce pass without having to extend his arms
7:19 look at richard jefferson turn the jets on!!! damn 😳
What’s crazier is the fact that on some of these plays, his teammate expected the pass. He really had all his teammates in sync.
