Easiest explanation of set up I’ve seen for this bit, thanks!

This is the best setup video I've seen for this bit. My bit arrived with no instructions whatsoever and I've hesitated using it at all. Thank you so much for this video!

love your router setup, such ease to adjust, i just purchased a bit just like this, but for another purpose ( its large enough to use in a slab flattening jig, and half the price ) it is also good for making large slides, such as for an extension table, or for drawers

What do you mean vertical and horizontal pieces? You have been using the edge grain to demonstrate the tool, when in fact all cuts will be on the end grain. Also you have not mentioned whether the joints alter the size of your original draw size calculation,

the front and back, are the length you need for the width of your drawer, the sides are figured this way, the height of the bit , subtracted from the thickness of your material, times two,( both ends of the side pieces) is the amount you subtract from the full length of your drawer, to get the length of the side pieces before routing. same way for a box , front and back are actual measurement, sides get figured the same as for drawers

i also got confused with his vertical and horizontal, it took me a few minutes, it is a bit confusing at first, but after doing some practice cuts, it was so clear!

Can this bit be used for planing a large board on a router planing sled?

      Hi Robert.
When using 19mm stock the final width will be the width of the bottom piece as the sides sit flush with the edges. When using 12mm stock your final width will be the width of the bottom piece plus 8.5mm on each side (17mm total). I would recommend doing some test pieces if you are creating something with a very low tolerance to make sure.

It's good to see Woodglut have new instructions to save my money and energy to build it.
