Both lion-o's are children except this version acts more like a child which makes it more satisfying to see him succeed, unlike the original in which he was able to pretty much just focus on not giving up and win every situation, in this one Lion-o is incredibly impatient and that makes him a satisfying character to watch as he struggled and won by learning to slow down or listen to his elders.
I know he's a 1 off villain & everything, but they could've made the Duelist much better. Since they're using animal motiff's he should've been based off of a squid or octopus, so that he could wield most (if not all) of his swords at once (as a "trump card"). Plus him being more of a pirate would be cool too.
I think he can in the original but that's after the whole "oops I broke it by accidentally attacking my brother guess I need to reforge and grow my connection to it" ark
what would have happened if lion o and the duelist had learned to master all fighting techniques and also learn to master all styles of fighting and also learn to master all martial arts and also learn to master all weapons

This show was so good, can't believe they cancelled it after 1 season.
“What makes a warrior strong is not the weapon, but the warrior holding the weapon.”
Both
That's why it not be surprised that an novice swordsman was beaten by an veteran welding an parasol or fishing rod.
Mostly true. A good sword does not make a good swordsman, but a bad sword can break one.
@@spectre9065
A good swordsman recognises a bad sword though and knows not to fight with it.
This is ep 8
I like this version of Snarf WAY better. It rarely speaks

The duelist reminds me as a Skyrim dark elf... Oh yeah thats a khajit vs dunmer fight
One-handed INCREASED
LOL Lion O has ultra instinct!
He needs someone to make him a sword? The Sword of Omens was crafted from the core of a star and houses the Eye of Thundera. Can't really beat that.
the reason he was dueling was because he stupidly bet and lost the sword of omens to the duelist
Did you not see him lose it? 🙄
The sword is strong, the owner not so much
This felt like a 03 tmnt episode focused on leo
The Juicy Jedi jester that’s a good point. The animations quite similar too

It wasn’t a stick. It was a wooden sword he carved from an oar, and it was meant to counter the reach advantage his opponent had

He should realize he can call the sword back to him
I guess it’s because he wants to win it back the hard way, so that he can prove himself.
He hadnt learned about that yet in this version
