@@kJ-44 I was thinking last time as to why is Runeterra so compeling as a fantasy universe, and that's because it has very little in common with other well-known fantasy universes. There are no Orcs (trolls are here tho, but they serve a different role), no Elves, the undead are only souls (and not rotting corpses as in WoW), we got Yordles, yetis, poros, elnuks, sea monsters, celestials, and everything serves a particular role. Taking the example of sea monsters, they're a part of Bilgewater's culture, they don't just serve as some filler monsters, same goes for yetis in Freljord, or celestials in Targon.

bro i bet this new champ is gonna be a top beast. hear me out. this year riot confirmed there will be 5 new champs a year and one from every lane (even tho there was seraphie and rell). this year the first champ was confirmed last year and when he came out he was a top champ (this champ is sett btw). maybe next year it will be more shadow champs cos this year we had seraphie, lillia and sett who are more lively champions. i have a theory that due to ryze being confirmed there MAY BE A NEW SHADOW RUNE he is a rune hunter who receives lots of help from other champions but this ruined king is too strong for ryze alone so he joins the group in the cinematic to try take it. Am I the only one who wants to see the interactions between Yorick and The Ruined King? I mean, his whole lore is basically build upon the actions of The Ruined King and all he wants is to lift the curse. I don't get why nobody talks about him. I feel like he would be a great addition to the team or just an alley who shares the same goal, idk if he doesn't appear I'd be pretty disappointed. :(
What about yorick and maokai? Both characters that wish to find and kill the ruined king. I mean,the only champion that isnt opposed to him is thresh,hecarim and karthus (even kallista is somewhat against him i think)
I imagine them potentially getting in a fight with the heroes because of misunderstanding or minor mind control from other powers. While Elise and the spider god would possibly clash with the heroes for their own agenda, namely hunger and sacrifice, never killed but driven off.

I have one question. Why does the ruined King look like he comes straight out of twilight? This guy doesn't look like someone who carries around a rusty sword. He looks like he is ready to kick some asses!
Remember he died as a young lad trying to save his love, so it makes sense he wouldn't be an old dude. An old dude wouldn't try and ressurect his wife after living a good life with her. So I personnally expected the Ruined King to be youngish from the start, it fits the narrative a bit more than an old guy. As to the beard, well, I think it's mostly to show that he was a lover, so less facial hair is better for that purpose. Give a man a sword and a beard, he kinda looks like a soldier. His whole character design is emphasized around the fact he's a young dude that did a mess, so he can neither have a fatherly figure, nor be old for that purpose

Ahri could be trying to find the soul of the man she loved. Thats why she was at that spirit blossom festival, to try to talk to him. But couldn't find him, and now she's resorting to the shadow isles since spirits can be found "alive" there. Or at least thats my theory

Idk either, I feel like at this point his been one of the main characters from the shadow isles that people just forget about in lore. Every cinematic involved with shadow isles, never once has yorick shown up compare to other shadow isles characters.

I like his design. It fools you into thinking he's vulnerable and not that intimidating. the trailer literally showcased how strong our protagonists are and what they could do and we got the Ruined King appearing like an angry emo boi which makes you a bit disappointed and think that those 6 can easily handle him. But I'm pretty sure he's way stronger than he looks which makes him terrifying.

Actually, after recently just reading the Kalista story, I don't think Ledros has been consumed by the mist, but rather, has decided to go straight to the core of the curse, EI, Ledros is likely to fight the Ruined King just like the party. He had abandon his hope of saving Kalista like he has tried for years, and come to the conclusion that stopping the curse at its roots, can free them all.
i expected something more "eldritch or mystic" about the look of the ruined king (maybe armor but i guess that goes into morde territory) rather than "teen sensation Twilight prince", but i guess that maybe they can addressed it later with a skin when he undoubtedly gets reveal as a champ.
Armor is definitely not morde territory alone, Kalista, Hecarim and Ledros all of whom where under the "Ruined King", all wear armor. It would make sense for this boy to have some as well.
Pentakill has confirmed working on a new album a few times, and I believe after 3 years it just makes sense to give the champ from same region as Mordekaiser and Karthus his own pentakill skin on launch, hypest shit ever.
I'm sure old Riot would have intended to for him to be more ghoulish, wearing armor and all that like Morde or Thresh. But new Riot believes eboy is the appropriate design for the Ruined King.

Pyke isn't mindless, he's out to kill the captains who wronged him and other captains who have mistreated their crew and the seas of bilgewater. I believe he's fine with Miss Fortune, since she's killed a lot of captains seems to be pretty nice to her crew, so he could be joining her on request or something similar, though I don't think that specifically is a particularly Pyke thing to do.

I know I might be reaching, but members of Pentakill have confirmed multiple times that they are working on a new project, and it HAS been 3 years since the last album. I think the Ruined King will launch with a pentakill skin and the third album altogether, it just makes sense.

I mean, his whole lore is basically build upon the actions of The Ruined King and all he wants is to lift the curse. I don't get why nobody talks about him. I feel like he would be a great addition to the team or just an alley who shares the same goal, idk if he doesn't appear I'd be pretty disappointed. :(

I imagine them potentially getting in a fight with the heroes because of misunderstanding or minor mind control from other powers. While Elise and the spider god would possibly clash with the heroes for their own agenda, namely hunger and sacrifice, never killed but driven off.

I have one question. Why does the ruined King look like he comes straight out of twilight? This guy doesn't look like someone who carries around a rusty sword. He looks like he is ready to kick some asses!
To be fair he has been stuck on an island for several years what else does he have to do other than get in shape and clean off his sword
Remember he died as a young lad trying to save his love, so it makes sense he wouldn't be an old dude. An old dude wouldn't try and ressurect his wife after living a good life with her. So I personnally expected the Ruined King to be youngish from the start, it fits the narrative a bit more than an old guy. As to the beard, well, I think it's mostly to show that he was a lover, so less facial hair is better for that purpose. Give a man a sword and a beard, he kinda looks like a soldier. His whole character design is emphasized around the fact he's a young dude that did a mess, so he can neither have a fatherly figure, nor be old for that purpose

I like his design. It fools you into thinking he's vulnerable and not that intimidating. the trailer literally showcased how strong our protagonists are and what they could do and we got the Ruined King appearing like an angry emo boi which makes you a bit disappointed and think that those 6 can easily handle him. But I'm pretty sure he's way stronger than he looks which makes him terrifying.

Actually, after recently just reading the Kalista story, I don't think Ledros has been consumed by the mist, but rather, has decided to go straight to the core of the curse, EI, Ledros is likely to fight the Ruined King just like the party. He had abandon his hope of saving Kalista like he has tried for years, and come to the conclusion that stopping the curse at its roots, can free them all.

i expected something more "eldritch or mystic" about the look of the ruined king (maybe armor but i guess that goes into morde territory) rather than "teen sensation Twilight prince", but i guess that maybe they can addressed it later with a skin when he undoubtedly gets reveal as a champ.
Armor is definitely not morde territory alone, Kalista, Hecarim and Ledros all of whom where under the "Ruined King", all wear armor. It would make sense for this boy to have some as well.
Pentakill has confirmed working on a new album a few times, and I believe after 3 years it just makes sense to give the champ from same region as Mordekaiser and Karthus his own pentakill skin on launch, hypest shit ever.
I'm sure old Riot would have intended to for him to be more ghoulish, wearing armor and all that like Morde or Thresh. But new Riot believes eboy is the appropriate design for the Ruined King.

Pyke isn't mindless, he's out to kill the captains who wronged him and other captains who have mistreated their crew and the seas of bilgewater. I believe he's fine with Miss Fortune, since she's killed a lot of captains seems to be pretty nice to her crew, so he could be joining her on request or something similar, though I don't think that specifically is a particularly Pyke thing to do.
