To me, Viego might be one of the best Lore champions overall. His motivations are clear yet they change with his twisted and ancient mind, anchoring to the woman he loved so long ago. Yet he wishes only for his queen to be returned, taking everything from others as he felt happened to him the day Isolde was cruelly taken from him. Death comes, but Ruination continues.
I feel like Viego's lore is less well written than Seraphines. How long was he king for? Why didn't Kalista, the daughter of the former king, become queen instead of him? Why was Kalista Viego's favorite, and yet she isn't mentioned in his bio? If Viego was so incompetent that his allies plotted against him 'before his reign had even begin' why were Ledros and Kalista so loyal to him, even commenting that Viego, "Used to be different" before Isolde's death? Basically, Viego's bio has a bunch of sloppy retcons. Its really bad.

It actually makes sense. If someone we loved dies, and some rando on the street was born with the right facial structure, you could see your loved one again, but yet they're not the same person you once knew. It's someone new completely, but yet in your eyes, your memories, that person *IS* the person you knew at first glance. My Godmother passed away when I was 20. I'm 33 now going on 34 soon. Know how many times I've seen women with her facial structure and was like "FUCK! They look too close to my godmother!"? A lot. At least twice a year before I went on Tinder. Now it's like once every 100 swipes I see a woman that reminds me of her and I'm like "Nooooooo thank you." I had to swipe left on a woman who had what my name would've been if I was born a girl. I was like "No thanks, too awkward." tl;dr: It's very possible to see someone and think they're the same, but yet they're not the same.

I assume that the souls in Thresh's lantern have a hard time making themselves heard outside of it, so Viego could not sense Isolde while she and Senna were stuck. That may explain why now Viego is getting more active outside of the Shadow Isles: after Lucian saved Senna, and therefore a part of Isolde, Viego started to feel her again, which gave him hope in reuniting with his lover, and thus started to threw mistwraiths left and right. This or VIego was stuck in one place for a very long time after Isolde stabbed him, and coincidentally he got back to his senses a while after Senna came back.
This whole story reminds me of "The Mummy". Only there it was a revived Pharaoh seeing his dead love in people of the present. He also had some kind of mist. Just that it was a sandstorm. Lol

Dont forget about fiddlesticks in demacia and with middle you mean nagakeburos? Also I think that Ixtal is also dangered by the north from Zyra but I dont know her lore too well. Id actually say that targon is the safest place to be in runeterra even tho theres the little space dragon, there are also the aspects of twilight, protector und so many more. If Not targon I would go to Freljord and try to defeat volibear together with anivia orrn and the seal sister. Then I could handle the frozen watchers Vetter ^^.

@I'm Tired One of the most plausible theories is that Valeeva, Varus's sister, is inside Sona's Etwahl. Valeeva was encased in a powerful weapon that was lost, Sona's Etwahl was the only thing she had at birth, without explanation. It also has some weird powers and shit, Sona is currently on the run, so that's where Valeeva probably is.
Serious question: why is Necrit convinced that Viego doesn't remember his own queen stabbing him in the heart? Maybe he does remember it, but it's so unthinkable to him that he suppresses that memory deep inside. I've seen real people do this before and it fuels their obsession, ignoring all facts that the person they once loved no longer loves them back. I mean, even in this colour story, it says that Viego knew the answer to his question. Therefore, I think it's more likely that Viego remembers what happened but suppresses the memory and this denial fuels his obsession. Just my two cents.
I could be that he really forgot, you know, cuz trauma, and i wager death is a pretty big trauma for anyone. (meaning he could not remember what happened after he revived Isolde)
It honestly sounds to me more and more like Viego and Isolde's relationship wasn't what he thinks it was. He sounds like an extremely possessive person. It could be he fell in love with her and she basically became his property. He was happy, but she was not. And in the horror of realizing he'd even come for her in death, she stabbed him. I wouldn't be surprised int he least if the line "he already knew" was referring to the fact that he knows she was unhappy and would run from him but he does not want to admit that or think of it.
What he gonna do? He needs to kill Azir,Xerath,Nasus,crazy Renekton,qnd gotta beat living sand? I doubt he can do anything.And these ascended can be called Gods, what can simp king do,guy literally has no exp for wars and commanding.Idk what story they want to write there.

Considering the fact that Isolde's promotional pic, represents a crocheted material and a needle, i m assuming Isolde can only be alive if all parts of her are put back together; And she or someone else decided for her to be separated so she would not reunite with the demented King; And when all parts eventually come together, his memories might come back as well; And he will go even more mad; That s just my opinion
There are some sad backstories in league but in my opinion veigo takes it, the insanity the slowly consumes him. His happy life taken away from him by duty and death.. it's so sad
@@lichmaster2 We know that the magic of the Ruination is the same magic that Mordekaiser uses, based on his interactions with Shadow Isles champs. Both Viego and Morde can control souls, but Morde can do it on a much greater scale, since he can do it both in the Death Realm and on Runeterra. So I think Viego would stand no chance lore-wise.
@@Makura6901 Technically, viego can not really die (when people die, they go to the death realm, He kind of already is there, as the shadow isles (unless my lore knowledge is outdates, this is what shadows isles and the mist used to be) are a place where barier between physical world, and the death realm is broken, kinda like a bridge between parallel universes. So i don't think he can really die (again, or anymore, or whatever is fitting into this sentence)). On the other hand, fiddlesticks can't either (yone does something to demons, but so far it seems like just endless imprisonements in the masks. They aren't "dead" dead, that's why he has to carry those masks, he's the jailkeeper - but he might be able to later on learn how to truly "kill" a demon - for now, they are immortal though) so it would be an eternal battle if anything.
I love watching this after the ruination and seeing Necrit got it right. The thing i really did actually like about the whole revive isolde thing was the fact that her soul being split into shards was the reason viego was going around.
honestly, the moment necrit mentioned the shurima waters i thought of 'well' and that made me think of varus looking for his darkin sister in shurima. ah...if only.
It is also worth mentioning that the next major Legends of Runeterra expansion will introduce Shurima as a region, maybe they'll sync it with the shruiman sentinel. Even more lore reveals
I think the ruined king game could by the end of veigo story. Which would make sense. Because veigo would most likely go to shurima before he's final battle with the pirate prest dead man hitman one of the brothers. The gatekeeper herself and the protector of the freljord

After I read this story, I felt like Viego is League of Legends' Davy Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean, reason why is because of the music box and how they both have similar backstories with small differences.
if Isolde is in pieces currently, then she'll be released when the stories more or less finish painting the picture of her shards being brought together. She is a seamstress and she will have to needle and thread herself back together. XD As for the shards themselves, it would mean that Yorick's "Maiden of The Mist" is Isolde's Warth/Rage from when she was first brought back. Between her revived rage, the magic of the sword and waters, and the ensuing eruption that fragment of Isolde basically got blasted and stuck in the old monk.
Wouldnt it make more sense if the shard Yorick had was mixed in the blessed waters in his necklace around his neck rather than being the maiden? It glows much like the shard Senna had, and she was bathed in the blessed water in the first place.
I think viego's motivation is pretty just! imagine you only love a person with all of your heart and would lose everything for her and others take her from you because of power lust! any person with high will power would do the same
REALLY NECRIT? The story says that Viego saw Isolde's hand as thick from holding scissors and NEEDLES. Which ties to the image Riot released for the new champion at the end of 2021. Isolde new champion confirmed. Which means Viego will assemble the pieces from her soul, making her the new champion. And he will learn from her, that she killed him. Poor guy
Theory: Viego is being used by a demon who feeds on grief. The people he thinks is Isolde are all different individuals who had a grieving loved one who's emotions were so strong that Viego thinks it's his own grief, and the trinkets he's collecting through out Runeterra are so sentimental that he thinks it's his as well, the reason why the Ruination happened near a Grave (Poppy Vayne), up in the Bastion (Darius Samira) where there are so much important items, and Ionia (Karma). Karma and the seamstress champ probably knows about the somber stories these items and people. Also the Ruined Queen is probably just another victim of the Nagakabouros because of how satisfied and comfortable the people of the Blessed Isles are before the Ruination.
Actually the City he travels to is not in Ionia ... it specifically states the city is on the mainland Specifically it says this: " far past the docks of Bilgewater and the coasts of Ionia. Something on the mainland" it is specifically past the docks of Bilgwater and past the coast of Ionia ... on the mainland ...

I would assume high Targonian Aspect class. He should be at least as strong as Pantheon now if not stronger. He should still be weaker than some Ascended like Aatrox but over all I would put Viego LORE WISE at high Targonian Ascended class.

Isolde's soul fragment on Senna is her innocence, afraid of what Viego had become. While the soul fragment that Yorick possessed was the part of Isolde that longs for his King, The soul who kills the king to be with him again. Unfortunately Yorick got this fragment. Yorick's necklace dampened the Isolde's soul fragment for reacting with the mist. Or the mist was more drawn to senna cause Viego remember the side of her queen that she loved more than the queen who killed her. It might also be the queen became corrupt as she grow and only acted nice in front of Viego, And he actually planned the fall of the kingdom but get poisoned at the end.(cause if she was actually a good queen he would never let his king fail his kingdom just for their love, it never really mentioned that they had a child, or planned to have one) she might actually refuse the fragment that Senna lost cause she don't need that innocence. Also will this fragmented soul will become Isolde but only a spirit form? leaving Yorick the control over The Maiden? Will Isolde become a champion like Yumi but more of a dmg enchanter?(if she is Good and Innocent queen) or a Evil Queen with a twisted personality. having a CC that mind controls minions or monster/weaken enemy champion. or a champion like Elise, Jayce and Nidalee who can switch from control mage and support enchanter? Serious question: why is Necrit convinced that Viego doesn't remember his own queen stabbing him in the heart? Maybe he does remember it, but it's so unthinkable to him that he suppresses that memory deep inside. I've seen real people do this before and it fuels their obsession, ignoring all facts that the person they once loved no longer loves them back. I mean, even in this colour story, it says that Viego knew the answer to his question. Therefore, I think it's more likely that Viego remembers what happened but suppresses the memory and this denial fuels his obsession. Just my two cents.
I could be that he really forgot, you know, cuz trauma, and i wager death is a pretty big trauma for anyone. (meaning he could not remember what happened after he revived Isolde)

It honestly sounds to me more and more like Viego and Isolde's relationship wasn't what he thinks it was. He sounds like an extremely possessive person. It could be he fell in love with her and she basically became his property. He was happy, but she was not. And in the horror of realizing he'd even come for her in death, she stabbed him. I wouldn't be surprised int he least if the line "he already knew" was referring to the fact that he knows she was unhappy and would run from him but he does not want to admit that or think of it.
Viego going to shurima will probably be at the same time shurima comes to LoR

@@lichmaster2 We know that the magic of the Ruination is the same magic that Mordekaiser uses, based on his interactions with Shadow Isles champs. Both Viego and Morde can control souls, but Morde can do it on a much greater scale, since he can do it both in the Death Realm and on Runeterra. So I think Viego would stand no chance lore-wise.

@@Makura6901 Technically, viego can not really die (when people die, they go to the death realm, He kind of already is there, as the shadow isles (unless my lore knowledge is outdates, this is what shadows isles and the mist used to be) are a place where barier between physical world, and the death realm is broken, kinda like a bridge between parallel universes. So i don't think he can really die (again, or anymore, or whatever is fitting into this sentence)). On the other hand, fiddlesticks can't either (yone does something to demons, but so far it seems like just endless imprisonements in the masks. They aren't "dead" dead, that's why he has to carry those masks, he's the jailkeeper - but he might be able to later on learn how to truly "kill" a demon - for now, they are immortal though) so it would be an eternal battle if anything.
I love watching this after the ruination and seeing Necrit got it right. The thing i really did actually like about the whole revive isolde thing was the fact that her soul being split into shards was the reason viego was going around.

After I read this story, I felt like Viego is League of Legends' Davy Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean, reason why is because of the music box and how they both have similar backstories with small differences.
if Isolde is in pieces currently, then she'll be released when the stories more or less finish painting the picture of her shards being brought together. She is a seamstress and she will have to needle and thread herself back together. XD
As for the shards themselves, it would mean that Yorick's "Maiden of The Mist" is Isolde's Warth/Rage from when she was first brought back. Between her revived rage, the magic of the sword and waters, and the ensuing eruption that fragment of Isolde basically got blasted and stuck in the old monk.

REALLY NECRIT? The story says that Viego saw Isolde's hand as thick from holding scissors and NEEDLES. Which ties to the image Riot released for the new champion at the end of 2021. Isolde new champion confirmed. Which means Viego will assemble the pieces from her soul, making her the new champion. And he will learn from her, that she killed him. Poor guy

Theory: Viego is being used by a demon who feeds on grief. The people he thinks is Isolde are all different individuals who had a grieving loved one who's emotions were so strong that Viego thinks it's his own grief, and the trinkets he's collecting through out Runeterra are so sentimental that he thinks it's his as well, the reason why the Ruination happened near a Grave (Poppy Vayne), up in the Bastion (Darius Samira) where there are so much important items, and Ionia (Karma). Karma and the seamstress champ probably knows about the somber stories these items and people. Also the Ruined Queen is probably just another victim of the Nagakabouros because of how satisfied and comfortable the people of the Blessed Isles are before the Ruination.

I would assume high Targonian Aspect class. He should be at least as strong as Pantheon now if not stronger. He should still be weaker than some Ascended like Aatrox but over all I would put Viego LORE WISE at high Targonian Ascended class.

Isolde's soul fragment on Senna is her innocence, afraid of what Viego had become.
While the soul fragment that Yorick possessed was the part of Isolde that longs for his King, The soul who kills the king to be with him again. Unfortunately Yorick got this fragment. Yorick's necklace dampened the Isolde's soul fragment for reacting with the mist. Or the mist was more drawn to senna cause Viego remember the side of her queen that she loved more than the queen who killed her. It might also be the queen became corrupt as she grow and only acted nice in front of Viego, And he actually planned the fall of the kingdom but get poisoned at the end.(cause if she was actually a good queen he would never let his king fail his kingdom just for their love, it never really mentioned that they had a child, or planned to have one) she might actually refuse the fragment that Senna lost cause she don't need that innocence.
Also will this fragmented soul will become Isolde but only a spirit form? leaving Yorick the control over The Maiden?
Will Isolde become a champion like Yumi but more of a dmg enchanter?(if she is Good and Innocent queen) or a Evil Queen with a twisted personality. having a CC that mind controls minions or monster/weaken enemy champion. or a champion like Elise, Jayce and Nidalee who can switch from control mage and support enchanter?
