@@Schony747 i managed to catch by chance last week some of the new metro units being rolled out from the workshop towards ballarat station by a pair of T classes. if you want i can send you the not so good pic that i managed to grab whilst driving
Some very interesting types of loco there. SSR in particular seem to specialize in some remarkable lashups. That one at 14:20 six locos, all in different liveries! Those long telephoto shots at 9:50 !and 11:15 !°are brilliant.
Love how you had that terrific tele shot on the up at Kilomre East of the broad gauge Sunrice train ex Deniliquin, which as you point out is still a grain train, albeit containerised rather than in hopper wagons. If you could capitalise the loco classes and place names that may improve the look of the captions. Thank you for faithfully recording railway history as in El Zorro. One never knows when things will change. There are presently a large number of grain trains moving through Gheringhap on the standard gauge line (ex Murtoa and other points in western Victoria) all the way up to Newcastle/Werris Creek/Moree NSW, something that was not happening as much a year ago and great to see.
Aaad there’s another bot in the name of Jenna. Caps lock wasn’t working today Brenden? 😝 I didn’t know T385 was in CFCLA colours once upon a time. 14:18 what a lashup! Awesome video.
Unless I'm short-sighted GML10 looks identical to an N class locomotive. The are many other examples of identical locomotives with different naming conventions! Is that to confuse the hell out of the train enthusiast? AWESOME . . .
Another great video. Of note, the QUBE shot you got with the G and B at Kilmore East is actually the rice train from Deniliquin. Nonetheless, bring on Volume 2.
Fantastic collection as always.Call me old fashioned , and as much as privatisation has given us all the "pretty" colours to look at with locos, (some though, that look like they haven't been washed for decades), there is nothing like an X, S or B class in original VR colours. With thanks to Geoff Kennett, privatising most of the rail in Victoria back in the day, ( not necessarily for the better either), although to be fair to him, he didn't have much choice privatising what he did in general. . Victoria would have been broke, literally, thanks to the previous Labor governments, and would have been going to the Queen via the Governor General with that news. It was a very serious situation back then and most people were not aware how bad a financial state Victoria was in.
Yep. Plenty of Liberal Party stories too about neglecting VR railways. All the line closures!!!!! They are as bad as each other. Funding has been close to zilch by both parties. The railways in Australia is 3rd world. For starters how about rail transport to Tullarmarine aiport!!! Yep, lucky Geoff 'sell all of Victoria's assets' Kennett saved the Victorian railways!
Awesome
Thsnks. Your awesome comments are always welcome.
6:05 i know this crossing well. love watching the trains run through here, there are some real nice spots in town to watch em roll thru
Yes. Unfortunately most freight runs at night now but still good to even see the Vlo roll through.

SSR never fails to disappointment with the loco combinations! Most of the rolling stock is aging but it's still great to watch!
Very enjoyable video. We've go a couple G&W Orange Livery GM class 66 Locos operated by Freightliner in UK 🇬🇧 Roger 😎
G'day Roger. It will be interesting to see what happens with Freightliner and associated liveries now G&W is owned by Brookfield. Thanks for looking.

I tried the small letters to see if it made reading any easier. I can make the locos in Capital letters.
Great vids Schony. Very enjoyable!
Thanks Jim

Awesome video.
I decided to try lower case today to see if the info screens were any easier to read. What do you think?
Schony747 yeah it’s easier to read, I’m just not used to it. But yeah, easier to read
Hello, great trains , you got there , & most of your locos, still look strange , Cheers FROM. NJ USA🇦🇺🇺🇸
Flyby Airplane. All made here to suit Aussie conditions. From American originals.
Of course. Mixed bag everywhere. Thanks Leighton.
@@jimcrawford5039 The 567 'C' being adapted here and incorporated in the US production iirc.
Very nice
Thanks always 😀😀

The Bops different states, different classifications, I expect.
GML10 is based off the N Class body. It's the only GML class made. So no, you're definitely not short sighted.
Yeah, I had to pause it too as I couldn't believe an N was on freight.
It's true we're all gunzels ..

Correct. Its still a grain train even though it's containerised and why I included it.
@@Schony747 Valid point. I must venture to Airport West one day. Seems like a good spot.
Fab spot mate and only down the road from me with a number of good spots to see the trains!
The decisive questiton is, if the engines are strong enough to pull their trains..
Oh yes. The newer ones with plenty of horse power not a problem. Some of the older stuff with enough help manages to get by as well
What is 'END RFR'?
End of the Regional Fast Rail which is the track between Sunshine and Ballarat via Bacchus Marsh.
Title says it all😊.
Yes indeed. I'll have volume 2 in a few weeks.
