With a lot of respect to the guys from eOS, I think they missed some opportunities. What a reason for creating their product? Who is their target audience? It looks stunning. It is so uniform and coherent. Great visuals, great defaults, impressive UX design with attention to detail. Heck, even some basic customization. And yet, I I don't see any reason to use this distro. Both Ubuntu and Fedora, have many more compelling reasons to use.
Excellent concise review. Thanks! Took a look at it the day it was released, and found it VERY impressive. I plan on installing it on my spare Thinkpad to take a longer term look. So much attention to detail is RARE among distros.
I remember when installing meant having 35 5 1/4” floppies and compiling. Mint is better in my opinion. Remember Boomers invented the internet. My first browser was SSH, then came Mosiac and Gopher.
@@KenMikaze Or from the "OMG...pronouns!!!" community. Seriously, everyone has opinions, and most of them stink. If someone isn't hurting you personally, then making a big deal out of their personal preferences says more about you than it does about them. Use the distro you like, play the game you like..

Rubbish comment. Shouldn't have bothered.
"It doesn't install in actual hardware!"
Installed perfectly for me on my ThinkPad. Looking through their forums I haven't seen much in the way of problems.
