I just had a thought for the "It's Been So Long" edit. IF Mc was Dazai, the sentence "Won't be too long before I become a puppet" in a different context could mean that Mc wants to run away from the next set of people "who are using them" which in this case are the brothers. Since Mc is the descendant of Lilith(?) they see it as not love but that some of the brothers are using them. And since Dazai is in the mindset of him being Not Human it goes for Mc as well so yea.. Mc doesn't think they reciprocate the love the brothers are showing even though they do but don't know it yet.. The sentence '"Maybe I should chase and find before they try to stop it' is basically saying that Mc wants to chase their death but can't because people are actively trying to stop them.
