Whenever I go to do the three attacks to do the special attack, I normally try to get the heavy combo out of the way first as the other two combos are quite quick and easy to get in plus it often saves time on my other mantras.
this is the exact build I use but what's amazing is how many people get mad at me for not using the weaps they want me to use. been using this build since before escalation released. so much fun
I definetly find this build good, but if you're gonna run iceborne, rage and wf, shouldnt discipline also be included? While cunning gives the benefit of crit damage, being a mad thicc plus, getting the benefits from all those 3 perks as early as possible into the fight could be quite useful, especially if you can time correctly most dodges and such.
Cunning synergizes well with a lot of the crit amps in escalation though. +3 Disci DOES help with crit chance, but to my knowledge not as much as +6 cunning, and crucially, lacks cunning's bonus to crit damage.
Mostly by using hellions strikers, with two power slots you can get either rage or discipline +6 easily. Then the obligatory boreus chest piece and legs for iceborne, and from there you just put on equipment with perks that'll go along well with rage, iceborne, discipline or cunning.
elemental resistance doesn't make much of a difference at the endgame, the only time it really does is in Trials and only for certain setups/builds on certain Trial weeks
Idk if its for just chainblades but when he eats you, you can attack and break yourself out, it only happened once because i had freaked out on my first fight against him and i was mashing buttons lmao
Definitely chainblades for malk, I currently use strikers and I’m going to upgrade my chainblades because malk is SO difficult to get combos on. I pretty much just try to mount it and last as long as I can or rely on interrupts to get my specials in. Xanny seems to do a good job tho, idk how he manages to reach malk when its levitating above him
I run duo escalation with my friend with an average time of 10 minutes and we have never used iceborne before. I see it as a crutch in this game and I don’t enjoy that. We don’t even use strikers (the obvious best weapons in the game atm). We both have every malkarion weapon to +14 including the armor and we use chain blades and swords. Not hating on you xanny but I think iceborne is for bad players. Keep I mind that I work 7 hours a day and don’t play for very long either.
A lot of the time, I consider or put cells into my build that I wouldn't normally use because of the needs of the average player. I 100% agree that Iceborne CAN be a crutch for the majority of players in the game, especially newer ones. OhDough made a great video covering Iceborne that I 100% support, because a lot of what he's talking about is true. Doesn't mean he's not going to use Iceborne, since it's a strong cell. As a side note, group/duo runs are insanely easy because of the scaling (66% scaling per player, meaning the more players = the easier it gets to just zug zug DPS through). "Iceborne is for bad players" is an immense generalization without a whole lot of thought put into it. Some of the best players I've seen in the game use Iceborne - not because they need to, but because it's just another indirect power bump that speeds up efficiency, since they spend less time potting/healing and more time dealing damage to recover that lost health. Not taking an obvious power boost is a personal choice, but it doesn't make you any better than the people using it, is the big takeaway here. Thank you for commenting though, I appreciate it.
xanny phantom I respect your comment and I agree not a lot of thought went into mine but that won’t change my opinion on the cell. Yes I know how scaling works in the game and still think 10 minutes is a good time for duo when not using strikers or iceborne. Iceborne may be good for players that get hit a lot and need to pot consistently but when I’m playing solo or group I still don’t use it nor get hit enough EVER to have to pot in escalation when you can simply heal using lifesteal amps. Whether it be the best player in the game or the worst player in the game that doesn’t change the fact that using iceborne in place of a damage perk will put you at a damage disadvantage. I shouldn’t have said “Iceborne is for bad players.” I should have just left it at “I see it as a crutch in this game”. As a side note my comment sounds completely like I’m attacking people when that wasn’t my intention. P.S I didn’t take the time to spell check or properly punctuate this because I am at work rn lol.
No sauce. Just guess, a feeling you could say. It's very strong right now and has no downside. It'll get adjusted. How strong were the strikers when they were released? Really strong. Too strong. They got nerfed a bit.
Build in the description as usual. Enjoy.
this isnt a xanny phantom video. you didn't say 'dummy thicc'

Gonna try this build out, strikers are my main so it’s great seeing a vid with strikers I don’t see them too often
definately going to try this out

It'd probably be worthwhile if you were running Hellion strikers, I just wanted to goof w/ Reza strikers since they're almost never used.
Perfectly understandable, I feel like Hellion strikers are the go to striker weapons.
Cunning synergizes well with a lot of the crit amps in escalation though. +3 Disci DOES help with crit chance, but to my knowledge not as much as +6 cunning, and crucially, lacks cunning's bonus to crit damage.
how would you add discipline to this build? and what perk would you replace?
Mostly by using hellions strikers, with two power slots you can get either rage or discipline +6 easily. Then the obligatory boreus chest piece and legs for iceborne, and from there you just put on equipment with perks that'll go along well with rage, iceborne, discipline or cunning.
Your voice is amazing, holy damn.
That interrupt or die chomp attack is so obnoxious. Thanks for the playthrough!
Even though I haven't played Dauntless for couple of months now, your content always amaze me. Keep it up ! Cheers!
It is total chaos when two behemoths are attacking you at once
Which cosmetics are you running? They look insane!
6:20 the drask lantern did 16000+ damage
Explain
It made 164 damage

A little tip: you can use shrowd helm and reza gloves to get the same perks, but have better elemental resistance.

@@XannyPhantasmo oh, okay. Thanks for replying.

how can i kill rezakiri if theres not a hunt for it?
You have to complete a bunch of missions that require you to kill heroic behemoths. After that it should unlock.
There is at the endgame
what is the best weapon for escalation?
idk, maybe you should find a video titled "Strikers are NUTS in Escalation! | 10 Minute Hunts! | Dauntless Aether Striker Build

Strikers have the most damage but I've seen quicker runs with chain blades
