Context: You find yourself aboard of fishing boat, when you notice a merman caught in the fishing nets. He is scared, but the crew are not sympathetic. They lock him in a box and trap him below deck. But you feel sorry for him, and decide to free him!

Some fun ocean facts because I’m in university for oceanography: we’ve actually mapped about 35% of the ocean thanks to sonar. Coral bleaching is due to a zooplankton called Zooxanthellae that lives in the coral that gives it their bright colors. And if our merman friend went far enough down in the water his red color would practically disappear due to light waves!

Oh yea i did learn that red disappears due to that when you’re deep underwater! But i do remember there is one fish that emits a red light underneath their eye i believe? To hunt and since fish cannot see red due to this it makes it easy for that fish to hunt without getting spotted or anything
