Today is a special day.
MJD, LGR and 8 Bit Guy, all 3 of which are some of my favourite channels on RUclips, have all uploaded a video today.
Life’s good when Michael posts😌
Yeah.
LG- life is good
@@tee.enderxity Plot Twist
0:43 a wild clapper vibbing in the corner, also thank MJD for more videos!
What is it, if you don't mind me asking? ☺
@@BG101UK the clapper? Ok so if you clap a certain amount of times like 3 whatever it was hooked up to it would turn on / off 😀
I read this as a wild slapper tribbing in the corner. 😳
Ahhh yes, the perfect excuse to stop doing homework
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahah
Perfect👌
Here before this comment had thousands of like. But it should definitely have thousands of likes

Some Nice floopies too :) QC
That clapper haunts my dreams man. I see it in everyone of your videos now. Buy more clappers, buy more clappers it says.......
*_C L A P P E R S . . ._*
+1 for a SCO Xenix install video! Dying to find out what "veterinary" software would be presumably bundled on this.
YES... as soon as I saw that my brain immediately started evaluating to what degree I *needed* to see it... the result is: very much.
Best go to a doctor and not a vet if you're dying. 😉
always excited when I see MJD in my subscription box!
Nice you get al this stuff to play with. I had loads of disks with Clipper programs i wrote myself decades ago. But i lost all of them. I have written some funny stuff in the days and it would be nice to have a look at my own coding. Unfortunately its gone forever.
These donations are amazing
OMG - yet MORE MJD - love it - just finished watching LGR's latest viewer donation video lol :)
Think you could do a video on graphing calculators? Pretty sure someone got linux running on a TI nspire CX, so im sure there are some cool ideas.
Keep up the good work on your channel Michael MJD! I have watched almost every single of your video, *not old videos* but your videos are always sooo interesting! 👍🏼
Bubble laser jet. And you just invented a whole new printer principle :D.
Satisfying box of disks!
More MJD
Ah yes, the Packard Bell. It’s pretty much the HP *anything from 1980 - 1999*
Great video MJD
That packard bell keyboard is layed out just like mine..
always excited when I see MJD in my subscription box! one of my fav youtubers and always here to watch your videos bro
Thank you so much!
Agreed
Agreed
7:06 QuickBooks really sounded like some abridged audiobook service sponsoring many YT channels (not this one, certainly).
Another great day MJD makes it better!
This channel is growing so fast! Congratulations!
First LGR this morning, now Michael. This weekend is gonna be great!
WELCOME BACK, MICHAEL! 😊
I need to try out TheOldNet! Thanks for the heads up!
Awesome video, Michael!
Spectacular!!
Awesome video!! 👍👍👍
An excellent weekend watching about classic hardware who any wish had again
You have the computer and keyboard, now you are missing the cherry on top: ink jet printer.
This channel is educational
Fun and underrated
ur the best channel for all computer things and errors :P
If you like the errors part, check out Druaga1 if you haven't... MJD is like 60% success, 40% errors... Druaga is like 3% success, 97% errors. lol
Awesome Video
Lets go, upgrade time! Maybe...
great videos
Well, let’s see if you can try out with The Old Net Serial Wi-Fi Modem 3.0... I really can’t wait to see it.
2:24 thats my keyboard for my win 7 but clean too on the comupter
I still have my win 95 copy of Microhelp Uninstaller, used the shit out of it back in the day, also cleans Windows temp, zip, etc files.
the old tech: oh,here we go again
YAY
I've seen quite a few MJD vids over a not insignificant period of time and the more I see the more I realize the need to know what MJD looks like. lol
I have one of those Packard Bell keyboards. Not sure who actually made 'em (PB never actually made anything, they bought surplus and seconds and put 'em together), but it's a really good keyboard.
That wifi modem is super cool. Definitely want to see that in action.
Please don't break my brain saying "Color bubble laserjet printer" again. lol
I’m always exited when I see in my notifications that says MJD has posted a video
More!!!!
Looks like you're going down a retro PC rabbit hole :)
Every Human should Have 7000 or So Modems to Help Keep Computers up and running in the even of an EMP and or Shift . They are neat to collect Boxed and loose to test them out :) QC
Great video Michael keep it up
dun dun dun dun
The talking with your hands reminds me of another channel I love: This Old Tony
I was looking through my garage once and found a floppy disc with Word Perfect v6.0 on it, along with AnyKey and QA Plus, but I was more interested in Word Perfect because that was something I really wanted to try out. Unfortunately, I don't have anything with a floppy disc reader on it so they've just been sitting in my drawer for a few months.
Can't wait for to watch the video it will be awsome .
I actually had a Windows 9x version of Uninstaller back in the day (kind of that era's version of CCleaner). The box art literally riffed off the Tide detergent logo.
Isn't WIN 10 or 7 still purchasable on disquettes ? I have a vague memory of a picture of a ton of these labeled win10
Finally, Micheal MJD donation video
I would send you something but shipping from Poland costs very money
Yay more videos
Part of me was really hoping that this was going to contain a certain item. Excited to see what's coming up in the future!
That one is coming (hopefully) very soon! Really excited to make it : )
@@MichaelMJD it'll take however long it takes. IDK what's up with it and what's needed to get it running so it may be a simple thing or a months long project.
That old net thing is an esp32 dev board with a rs232 connector frankensteined onto it.
I have a compaq deskpro 2000 so when you said the compaq disk was for that machine I was like omg. Also I do have a maxtor hdd so both of those disks or disk images would be helpful.
*I love popping bubble wrap*
Today is great!
7:45 and its in comic sans
2:09 i have a keyboard like this too
Do you accept computer donations? Because i have a viewmaster desktop made by hallmark and thyere seems to be barely any info online about these computers. The one the i have was running windows XP but whenever i boot it up right now it keeps asking for a cd to be inserted.
Sad i don't have any retro stuff :( (I would send you if I could)
&:56 MaxBlast brings back memories
This is cool
Stupid question. Do those retro wifi modems go inside or outside the computer?
Do you have a matching mouse for the $5 Win98 PC? I have a Gateway mouse from around the same timeframe as the 98 PC, I'm cleaning out my tech hoard rn and could totally send you the mouse.
I have been seeing those clappers
2:04 This keyboard is a similar to my Logitech keyboard!
Sweet, I'd love to give you some floppies from work, however they're slated to be destroyed since they have decade old financial info.
Smell test, absent... that keyboard propably smells like museum
Can you make more videos on the core i7 pc that had windows 8.1
Ah yes, MicroHelp Uninstaller. I have a big box copy of Uninstaller 3.
Nice
Hey Michael, I don’t have a Floppy disk reader on my pc. Is there a USB Floppy Disk reader you recommend? I’ve bought a few from Amazon that never worked :/
You might want to do a search for an ancient LS-120 or LS-240-drive (aka "SuperDisk"), which originally was an attempt as a reboot of the 3.5" floppy, but then with special disks that could hold 120MB/240MB instead of the normal 2MB. I found that these drives are still able to read normal floppies a regular drive couldn't read anymore. Best of all is that they were also available as internal IDE (PATA) and SCSI drives, so you could connect it to any reasonally "modern" (but not too modern) motherboard. It wouldn't surprise me if they were also sold as external USB (and parallel port?) drives, but I've never seen one myself.
@@Quick_Fix thank you! I’ll look it up! I really appreciate you taking the time to tell me about this as not only is it unique and cool history but valuable information!
I hope you image some of those floppy disks and put them online...
I got a question for you, Try to install a old old version of android x86 on the windows 98 machine.
i just wonder when save icon will be changed to harddisk 🤔
Now try every single one of these floppy disks 😳
Every time I see floppy disks, I wanna buy a reader and use floppies😅😩
Me too
The Packard Bell Keyboard has no Windows key, yet the 5 buck PB is from the time Windows 95 came up if I remember correctly? I'm sure it's identical in all other respects, but you can't completely say it is what you would find bundled with the computer, since the WinKey, Start Button, and associated bar... It was too big of a thing at the time to believe an OEM manufacturer would just plop some older stock keyboard into the box. [EDIT] That said, it's pretty amazing that the same person has donated -almost- era-adequate keyboards for both this computer and the venerable 5 dollar Windows 98 PC.
Cool
9:12
He made the disks upset.
Wait, I have that Packard Bell keyboard. (Or atleast one that looks exactly like that one)
I just love your voice, wtf
I find it fascinating going through boxes of old floppies. I've done so fairly recently and there were a load of DOS programs and demos on 5¼" computer magazine cover-disks. I made images of them using dd. ☺
Edited to add that I used to have a Packard Bell PB640 which looks identical to the one you have, probably still have the original KB and mouse. I'd be interested to know the specs of the one you have.
Maybe, you could share with us the images of the floppies that are not copyright-protected (like drivers, abandonware etc.)? There are a lot of people the are looking for some drivers that almost impossible to find today...
@TheWildClapper. The world’s biggest floppy disk donator.
Video idea: the 64-bit releases of Windows XP. I never understood them.
CANT wait for server 2003
oooh i thought this was an LRG unboxing lol
please make a video about the history of windows 2000 development
idea: do a development history video on Windows 2000
idea 2: Unbox and showcase the "Windows Custom Build" That a viewer sent you
Where are the subtitles?
Yayyyyaaa
'Sup Mike! Just wanted to say, it whould be very interesting if you did Can you install Windows 7 on the Packard Bell PC, and I will give you a idea of how you do it, use a Windows PE and then clone the image with imagex or gimagex and put the boot files on the hdd, but, try maxing out the upgrades on it.
oh...Hello...
