    After you scrape your carrots, you can add the shavings to add to dog food. My sisters dog used to dig up fresh carrots from the garden and help himself! LOL enjoy all your videos!

    Where did you get your smaller storage food containers? I checked your Amazon favorites and didn't see them, but I could have overlooked them. Also, I know you also buy your dogs dry foods, do you mix them? I found your channel about a month or so agp, and I LOVE watching you, you're so real. 🙂

    Vanessa, on some of your veggies, you poured a little bit of something from a big white bottle. Can you please tell me what that was & why? Also, I have the Kitchen Aid stand mixer as well & recently bought the shredder attachment to shred my cheese. I suffer from arthritis and had to stop using the hand grater.

      I needed to ask the same. I currently use the "Green Boxes" by Debbie Meyer and I Swear by them. They made my strawberries last almost 2 weeks when without, they wouldn't of lasted a week because they grow Fast!! You can find the Green Boxes on Amazon. The ones she was using, ive always been curious about. They are indeed Kind of Pricey. I think you can get 2 of those for around $16?? If they actually work and extend the life of fruits and veggies, it would be worth the money to buy them.

    • @kristielael2670
      @kristielael2670 4 года назад

      I should add that I do wash and prep my veggies and fruits in the Oxo salad spinner and use a splash of vinegar. Let soak a few minutes then dump the water and refill so can soak in plain water. Dry and store in the Green Boxes with a paper towel. I have used the Green Bags too. They work but I like the boxes a little more.

    Thanks for the videos. Because of Jen Chapin and SimpleWifeSimpleLife on RUclips, I use the OXO Salad spinner to wash veggies and fruits, like Apples, Grapes and Strawberries and use a splash of vinegar. I'm in Love with Oxo now lol.
    I've been watching you a while now, but why do you do the chicken etc for the dogs? It's added to dry food correct? Just extra nutrition I'm guessing. Thank you again for sharing your videos/life with us. God Bless!

    • @LifebyVanessa
      @LifebyVanessa  4 года назад +1

      I have the OXO spinner and love it also! Yes, I add it to their dry food but don’t give them as much dry food anymore if that makes sense. It’s easier on their stomachs and their teeth as they are getting older.

    Is cleaning vinegar different than regular white vinegar?

    • @kristielael2670
      @kristielael2670 4 года назад

      No don't think so. I use normal regular white vinegar. Like I mentioned in another comment, I use my Oxo salad spinner (I should be a spokesman for them lol). I LOVE that thing. Its makes it soooo convenient to wash and prep fruits and veggies.

    • @Heavncentt
      @Heavncentt 4 года назад +1

      Cleaning vinegar is usually different than regular distilled white vinegar. Cleaning vinegar should have a higher acidity percentage.

      @@kristielael2670 how do you know how much vinegar to put in?

    • @kristielael2670
      @kristielael2670 4 года назад

      Just a small splash. Just make sure whatever you are cleaning, you put them through clean plain water, to rinse any extra vinegar that might be left on the product. Ive been doing this around 8 months now and I use the "Green Boxes" (can find them on Amazon) and I SWEAR by them in keeping veggies and produce a little longer. I had strawberries Cleaned, Rinsed and Dried put in one of those boxes, placed a dry paper towel in the container. Stored in the Frig and the strawberries lasted a minimum of a week and a half. Average storage of strawberries have never lasted me a full week in the past, before using the "Green Boxes". I like the "green bags" too but I like the Boxes a little better. Do NOT put the boxes in the Dishwasher. You could put them on Top-rack BUT I did that once and after that, it didn't seem to work As good as Before? Might just be me though lol.
