- It's finally time! We are moving and downsizing for a bit. Here's a walkthrough of our new house before we make any changes and before we move in. I'm definitely going to have to get some good storage and organization systems in place for this house.

I love the new place! I’m sure it’ll be an adjustment after the last house but it’s a cute layout and I’m sure it’ll be MUCH easier to keep clean

When you mentioned about adding cabinets to laundry room, i would say no since its a temporary home. Yes the storage would be tight but still there are inexpensive solutions for storage

Very nice house.! I wouldn’t worry about decorating the walls much. It will just create work when you move again.
We also bought a house that had wood flooring that couldn’t be matched for carpeted rooms. We had to replace all flooring. Such a bummer! Happy moving! Yuk! 😂😂

We tried to find a good match to the LVP that is already in the house but no luck so we had to pivot and just pick something new since we didn’t want carpet at all.

We are just unpacking the needs first and then will decide after that. I don’t want to feel like we are living out of boxes or anything so we shall see 😊
Why didn’t you just stay in the house your in and find or build your forever home? Never the less it’s a cute home.
Several reasons, we definitely went through all the options and this is what we ended up wanting to do 😊

I, too, was wondering the same thing; why in the world do you move twice if you don't have to. But, as they say, different strokes for different folks. Very cute house!
One of the reasons is because we needed to get out of the bigger house in order to replace the flooring before we put it on the market. And we also did not want to be living in it once it was on the market during showings. Too much to hassle with while we are all living in the house. Keeping over 4,000 square feet clean is no easy task.

If it was me, I'd make the 'dining room' an office, the living/kitchen a kitchen/dining and the 'loft' area the living room. Depending on your family's eating habbits maybe just eat at the island and not bother with a dining table and have 2 living room spaces.
That is actually a great idea! Didn’t even cross my mind. We usually try to eat dinners together at the table but we can use the barstools for that while we are in this house. Thanks!!

Why not have the girls share a room. And use one for the office. Since you know you will be moving again
Rose has a full size bed and Pearl has a queen. Not enough space for them to share. We will be totally fine without a room dedicated as an office 😊
