    Great music, well entuned to that great place and the memories. But then it also sounds nostalgic, as those were the days that we can't go back to or at least this pandemic has completely passed.
    Coron is always expectacular, and I believe one of the best places in the world, if not the best, to visit and look around if you have a boat.

    I'm glad you found Grace Island. As you were snorkeling off there, I was thinking how much we (Americans) could learn from these people who take care of their environment the way they do there. I lived in Hawaii for a couple years and most of the underwater was decimated by the tourists. I wonder if the people of Grace Island have lots of rules and restrictions about what they can take from the sea. I imagine they have better sense than to need rules requiring that they take care of what belongs to them. Thanks for another great video. Ron

    • @HilmaSailing
      @HilmaSailing  3 года назад

      Yes, we spoke about that in that particular place. They actually had big issues with that and they had to tell some tourists things like "you can't take a piece of the coral and bring it home". It's the same in many places and we always find it strange.
      In the next episode we are in a beautiful place with great snorkeling too, but here we actually see locals throw big plastic boxes with oil in them in the water (those people drove the boats and worked in the tourism-industry).. We picked it up with our dinghy but they didn't realize the problem. Many people doesn't seem to understand and it's so sad. 😒

    I was in Boracay for 2 weeks last year. Many of the new rules are great, but it's ridiculous that there are no beach chairs allowed on the beach. The beaches are great and the water is pristine. The best restaurant on the Island is the Pig Out Bistro. It's awesome!! I'm glad i went, but i doubt i will ever make the effort to go there again. It was 13,000 miles to get there. Like i said, the beaches and water were great, but i can find the same in America on Anna Maria Island off the west coast of Florida. Thanks for sharing and be safe.:-)

    Hej! Som vanligt turist får jag inte flyga till Filippinerna längre pga corona. Men det går tydligen bra att angöra öarna med båt?

    • @HilmaSailing
      @HilmaSailing  3 года назад +1

      Vi släpper inte våra videos i real-tid så vi är inte kvar där nu utan delar med oss i efterhand. ☺️ Det är besvärligt att förflytta sig för långseglare nu (både inom ett land och mellan länder), framförallt för de som försöker ta sig vidare och inte kan/får flyga. Många blir kvar på samma plats under en längre tid, men vet tyvärr inte hur det ser ut i just Filippinerna för tillfället.

    I'm so ambivalent to monkeys in caption. On one side I don't like it (this one seems fine tho, able to run free) but on the other hand, they are so cute, I really want one 🙊
    My father was actually gifted on. It was quite naughty he told me.

      So are we. :) We feel that they should run free and we probably should have explained more in the episode. We forgot that.. :) This little monkey was rescued from a small island after a storm. They took care of here a while since she was left behind and too little to survive by herself but they released here shortly after we met them.. They left here with another group of wild monkeys on the island after letting them getting to know each other. It was nice of them but I while later the whole group moved further up in the djungel so they haven't seen Hilda for a while. :)

I understood she run off with her pack. Have you seen her again? I hope she comes down and steel some fruits and a hug sometimes 🐒 I'm from Norway btw, so we don't have to many monkeys around here 😊

      @@HilmaSailing I guess the confusion could be that in many Asian countries infants are taken from their mothers as pets and also exploited for money where they are used for paid photo opportunities from tourists. This one being dressed and in a diaper and the fact it jumped in the water trying to find its mother almost matches the description of exploitation. I would be suspicious.

    It’s the Philippine governments fault for letting foreigners own businesses establishment in Boracay. They should have strict rules about non Filipino citizen owning a businesses and real estates inside Philippines.

    Boracay is overrated at all. There so many beautiful islands in the Philippines, way better than Boracay island!

    • @chaoticheaven17
      @chaoticheaven17 3 года назад +1

      Boracay has one of the best beaches in the Philippines, budget - world-class food, and accommodations. Those islands that you think are equal or better than Boracay's beaches can only provide basic or decent food/place to stay. If you hate the crowd then Boracay is NOT for you. Boracay after all is one of the most touristy places in the Philippines, if not the most.

    • @homer30
      @homer30 3 года назад

      @@chaoticheaven17 Not for me though. Try Britannia islands in Mindanao Surigao del sur area. You will never go back to Boracay. The reason why Boracay is famous is because it's easy to get there. Many virgin islands in the Philippines have no good access.

    • @chaoticheaven17
      @chaoticheaven17 3 года назад

      @@homer30 Well, that's your opinion but the majority of tourists just want to relax, eat great food and a place to stay that is world-class. Your Britania Island can't offer those. You completely missed my point. Let me just reiterate that most tourists are NOT adventurers that want to explore the unknown/remote/off the beaten path places.

      Been in this exact place and It's few places in the world these animals would have a better life, they're a lot more free then most animals in Europe/US, and why they have them behind a fence at all is because the animals needs help during emergencies which actually happens quite a lot in this place.
