- I document the streets of Hanoi, Vietnam, and its people during my month in residency there.
As people live their lives out in the open, it made for unique moments to be captured by my Canon R5 with a 24-70mm f/2.8 lens and a GoPro atop it. All images were edited using CaptureOne.
I love how every product you can imagine, both for everyday people and other businesses, has its own section of the city to be sold outdoors. My favourite was the gigantic cookware for making community-sized batches of pho.
On the other hand, the bamboo vendors weren’t too happy to see me as they were quick on the draw to shoot my camera with a high-powered laser pointer. Luckily, no pixel damage was done to my sensor.
This video is part of my five-part series on Hanoi, Vietnam, during the Lunar New Year (Tết). Subscribe for more street photography videos and POV content to come from all over Asia including Japan, Thailand, and South Korea.

I was just there! Loved the pics! Such an amazing city!!
I’m glad you liked them! It’s so amazing. We took a cooking class while there and have been making pho every few weeks since then haha. I miss having it multiple times a day, though
