Here's a tip: Rightclick the address in the list and choose "Show as signed". It will show it as the negative value. There's also a global setting in cheat engine to show as signed.
I don't have that game, but start a scan for an unknown value and make sure you set your type to "All." (You can try "Float" first, if you'd like, as time-based values tend to floats.) Then, try searching for decreased values. If that doesn't work, then search for increased values instead (sometimes, time-based values count up, not down). If that fails, try searching for changed/unchanged values. If that still doesn't work, try percentage-based scans, as shown in this video: watch?v=LF0BafB4fik

what about the opposite ? if I want to change the positive value into negative I know u would say why ? and that i can just change the number. the problem is i have a game save and it is bugged leveling up i messed up. when i level up it increases 1006 but I want to change the value from adding 1000 to (-1000) so it become 6 only. I cannot change a value in this game save not like any other games. this one u can only add values. so i want to add -1000 so I get only 6 xp so are those big numbers correct the one u found? I might be making this harder than it has to be. Can't find the base address though for SkyHill (Steam Game). Any tricks or tips are greatly appreciated. Love the series. Hey, Matthew! Glad you enjoy the series! I'll tell you, honestly, I *never* look for base addresses anymore. It's such a pain in the ass for modern games. Unless I have no other option but that, I look for array of byte strings (which I have a couple of videos on). I do have a multi-level pointers video (I think it's part 10, but I don't recall at the moment and I'm on mobile), and it will be the same process for floating point values as any other, but...yeah, AOB scripts are where it's at. I know it may seem obscure when you don't understand it, but once it clicks, you'll rarely use any other method!

Maybe you can help my out with something that been giving problems with about every game I've tried it on. its look for the value having to do with random battles. The hope is to turn random battles off and on to make travel faster or maybe get them to pop faster for EXP farming.
