My Alabama pocket holsters are like the first one except the "pocket side" has the curved hook and almost smooth, you can just make out the trigger guard shape, the "leg side" is more formed for your pistol for retention. Good video, thanks for sharing!
Good review. Clear explanations. Because of the clothing I wear for my occupation, I am confined to pocket carry. My Glock 42, Shadow Systems CR920, CZ Rami, and, even my Springfield Armory XDM 10mm are concealed and ride comfortably in Alabama Pocket holsters. Since concealment is primary for me, the Alabama is smooth, trim, and has a really good push-off tab.
Pocket carried my shield plus for awhile in a hawg holster without issue. It is heavier than say an lcp max and a bit larger but still fit nicely in my front jeans or slacks pocket.
I like the Blackhawk pocket holster for my LCP Max, in particular. I make a square out of Gorilla tape wrapped around a little cardboard, last couple wraps with the sticky side out, and put this wad in the opposite corner of where my barrel rests. That way, it gives the appearance of being something square in your pocket, if it prints alittle, and not an apparent handgun. The tackiness of the Blackhawk holster, pretty much insures it will stay in your pocket, yet the low friction inside allows your gun to easily be drawn. This works really well for me, anyway, and quite comfortable.
I pocket carry the gen 1 shield p/c 3.1 inch in the DeSantis nemesis. I almost sent it to be cut for an optic last week but reconsidered when I realized that would put the kibosh on pocket carry.
Vedder pocket locker holsters are fantastic. Kydex is important to me for carry unless the gun has a safety. Trying to find a CZ p10m or csx from S&W. Bought my sister a vedder for her glock 43 and it’s like a phone in the pocket so cool!
@@deucedeuce1572 agreed. I would always carry kydex unless the firearm has a safety. If it has a safety I might consider other holsters like leather or the sticky but wouldn’t even bother otherwise
thanks for this video. I was always an appendix cary guy since my son is older, but since having a new baby, i am looking for a smaller gun with a safety to use when i am out with the whole family. I saw your older video on pocket carry as well. Liked and subbed. God bless you brother. 🙏
I went with the Alabama pocket holster. They smooth out the outside to minimize printing. The inside kydex piece is formed to the gun, the retention is excellent and there is a thumb break. It's only slightly different than yours.
I got the Vedder pocket locker for my Shield Plus after watching a video of you talking about it, works great for me. And i got the curve and the push off. But I also have a Sticky holster as well which I like also.
Are the Pocket Locker holsters worth it? I've seen nearly identical holsters sold by other companies for half the price and always wondered why anyone would bother buying the Vedders for twice the price. It's just a smashed piece of kydex like most DIYers make in their basements.
@@deucedeuce1572 at this point I like it. Is it worth it over similar ones, don’t know yet, I haven’t had it very long. Time will tell. I would imagine there are plenty of competitors out there that do the same thing for a lower price. I went with Vedder because of name recognition and the video on it from this channel, I thought I’d give it a try.
@@dannyp2267 That's good to hear. They have a reputation of being a good company to deal with and I've never heard of them doing anything, but standing by their products and being fair with their customers... so they might be worth paying a little extra.
Pocket carrier here, pretty much all the time. I found Desantis holsters as the best for me and then the galco pocket protectors, they are nice cow hide, great for summer as they breath.
A tiny pistol is definitely a necessary tool for edc. I still try to carry my pocket pistols AIWB if I can because of how much easier it is to draw from the waist rather than the pocket.
I actually like the Ruger pocket holster . My DB9 fits in it also perfectly. For pocket carry I want a gun that’s light as possible and a light holster . I don’t want a hard kydex holster poking my leg .
I don't think of pocket carry as the best way to carry... but I'm not sure why some people are so against it. I'm sure it's a lot of the "22lr isn't lethal" people that think that way... but it's definitely a better way to carry than to not carry at all (with a good holster). My only worry is that when people are surprised and don't see the assault coming (like a robbery), the robbers will almost always check the victims pockets looking for weapons... but if he's not even looking for weapons, he'll find it/them anyways while looking for valuables. I don't think that's a reason to rule out pocket carry altogether, but I think it's something to consider. All carry positions have their pros and cons.
I got one! Super finnicky on ammo! Do not sling shot it. Use the slide release when loading. Hand track it 200 times and leave it open for a week before use. I’m debating on switching to a Glock 42 though and probably gonna sell the Kahr. Mine is used and think it’s older model so maybe that’s why. Newer ones may not have any issues
Pocket holster makes it look like a wallet and not a single person has ever said it looks like I have a pistol in my pocket. I run certain carhartt pants with deep pockets
@@mdubb4855 Well I have a gun in an unlocked drawer that will take me 10-15 sec to get to. No kids so don't need a locked firearm. Plus I never answer my door to an unknown without a gun.
Out of all the ways to carry this way would be my least fav. Not only do pant pockets suck and come in all different sizing but drawing and printing a bulge in your pocket is annoying. I'll stick to appendix, 4oclock, or bag carry.
My job doesn’t allow pew pews but my life is worth more than my job so with that I carry my BG or LCPMAX in an eBay special pocket carry with push off tab for the lcp and a cheap single clip for my BG and no one knows anything!
I have the Alabama Holsters for all my pocket carry pistols. They mold them exactly to the pistol so they are perfect.

Rubber bands around kydex helps it stay in the pocket as well

I think a good holster should be required for every gun (on a personal level of course). Have seen safeties flipped off on SA firearms before.

Thanks man, I appreciate that. Respect and thanks for watching! Lots more to come
Alabama holster…best pocket holster available.
I carry a j-frame in a barsony nylon pocket holster for a few years , prefer it more then waist carry

I have the hawg holster and it’s a bit less bulky than the vedder but yes shield plus fits nice in the pocket imo

Where did you get the pocket holster for the Ruger LCP 380 Max?

Any recommendations on a Glock 26 MOS holster? I run the Holosun SCS dot on mine
Has anyone tried the deep concealment Alabama holster? Alternatively, Vedder makes a wedge. Would it work on the pocket locker?
Question. Is the Vedder pocket locker a Front Pocket or Cargo Pocket version?
I pocket carry a Hellcat with green dot with a kydex holster. Has the pocket hook and thumb push off. I'm just a big dude and AIWB hurts.
I pocket carry my Glock 27 often. In caro shorts or jeans with deep pockets, no problem.
Oh, and a Taurus 38 CH snubbie. Use a nylon/neoprene pocket holster.
Do you carry it in the cargo pocket?
Thanks! I was considering a G26 or G27 for pocket carry. I currently pocket a P365
Any good inside waist holster for db9 gen 4?
Got a sticky brand and love it, especially when driving. When reholstering just remove it from pants
Desantis is what I use!
DeSantis holster for my lcp max
Do you know of any iwb mag carrier that will work with LCP Max 12rd mags?
Vedder or blacksmith tactical should have some!

I got the S&W 340pd in an Alabama holster.

Say what? You carry a pocket holster inside the house?
There have been a lot of videos reporting strong arm break-ins. Usually multiple attackers. Also usually retreat after first shot.
