Thank you for reacting to this Anthony! There are a lot of theories, it is connected to their webtoon but there's something about this trailer that differs from it and feels new, so we will probably get more answers when the album comes out since this is just a trailer (8 mins long but still lmao.) I was also confused when watching this for the first time, but I will explain a little bit so feel free to read this or not Anthony😅. But the main theory is that this girl is apparently the one who gave all of the boys their powers and made them who they are, and the boys except Sunghoon for some reason wanted to be put out of their misery, so they wanted her to bite them, so that she would take their powers back and they would die (explains why Jay just let her bite him without doing anything, and the korean narration supports this theory). This explains why she was crying in the middle and Sunghoon had to cheer her up, because it's obviously a hard decision to make because doing so would kill them.
- In the start, when the 6 boys (except Sunghoon) were in the room with the chairs and were putting their hands together, they were playing some sort of rock paper scissors and ended up chosing Jungwon to fight Sunghoon first. So they all merged into Jungwon, and they became one! That's why you see whenever Sunghoon kills one of them, another member appears in their place! And this also explains when she bit Jay, the other remaining members also collapse, because they were connected.
- Sunghoon and the girl are lovers, and he clearly wants to protect her (probably because she doesn't want to bite them and take her powers back from the boys since it will kill them). The directing is really incredible, one detail I want to mention is the brief shot of the empty cans of pineapple that you saw. This is actually a direct reference to the romance movie "Chungking Express (1994)" and it's supposed to represent the main character's inability to end his relationship with his girlfriend, so he buys a lot of canned pineapple that expire on May 1st:
“Cop 223 buys pineapples that expire on May 1; once they go bad, he’ll officially give up on getting his girlfriend back. He proceeds to eat all 30 cans in one sitting.” - Chungking Express
If you notice, this concept trailer also was released on May 1st. This reference is basically foreshadowing the ending of the trailer, where Sunghoon tells her to bite him, and she says "bye bye my love" and he turns into dust. This marks the end of their relationship. I am still not sure why he told her to bite him since he during the whole trailer seems to be against that, protecting her from the other boys who wants to be bitten, but I assume he was getting weak with how everything just escalated and in the end he realized the right thing to do was for her to bite him too and free him. And as you caught on, in the beginning they said "if you wish to escape this twist of fate, remembers these two words, bite me", so it definitely correlates to that. She obviously doesn't want to do that because she loves him. But my theory is that she didn't bite him, because there was no emphasis on the bite (like there was when she bit Jay), and that he turned into dust because of the sun was coming up? This reminds me of what happened to Jungwon during Given-taken MV, he also turned into dust because of the sun.
Well said! I had no idea the canned pineapples had that significance. They did say that this story was a story of Love, Sacrifice and Fate in the start, it all makes sense

I really love the cinematography of this trailer, I just watched the behind the scenes of this and a lot of work was put into this! I really commend Sunghoon’s efforts, he’s the perfect main character for a vampire concept (he’s a real life vampire he ain’t fooling anyone lol). I can see how he works hard with everything he challenges himself to do, from being a shy kid with social anxiety, to becoming a figure skater, and then turned kpop idol, becoming a host for Music Bank and now getting into acting. Very proud of him!
The boys practiced and learned the action scenes in one day only!! And Sunghoon even gave the idea to the director to add a sword-turning scene (4:26) which he said he learned when he was a figure skater (I still don’t see the correlation between turning swords around and figure skating but that’s what he said😭)
The canned pineapples is a reference to "ChungKing Express" movie, represents the ending of the relationship between Sunghoon and the girl which happens at the end where she says "bye my love" and he fades away.

Basically he was protecting her because she's there maker but he wants to return the full powers back to her forever but I'm guessing they don't want that so they had the leader combined them so they can fight him but one at a time he killing them so they turn into the person he actually has killed wen they die but she bit Jake who was actually the leader so they all was drained when she bit him so the only one left was the protector but she refused to bite him because she didn't want to she felt it was her falut in tge first place so she left him go🥺
What the heck! So when they did rock paper scissors they actually combined and that’s why there was only one of them left. Sunghoon no longer wanted to be a vamp but the other 6 did not agree so they wanted to box 😂 Jake is the main vamp so they all fell when she bit him and she did not want to bite SH in the end ??

okay this is kinda a lot but:
yes in the scene where they like spun and switched chairs and jungwon had his hand up but the others put their hands down, they were basically choosing who was gonna fight sunghoon first. then when they all like laid on top of him then disappeared, they like merged together. so jungwon became ni-ki when sunghoon “killed” jungwon, thats why when the person who got up from the ground near the bike was riki not jungwon and then when sunghoon is fighting ni-ki it all of the sudden is jay when sunghoon stabs him. and then jake and sunoo pop out. since they merged they each like used another’s power. for example heeseung was the one hanging upside down bc one of sunoos powers is gravity manipulation. jay was able to summon sunoo and jake like out of him bc he took ni-ki’s power of shadow manipulation. ni-ki took hee’s power of telekinesis and being good w swords. i saw some say it may be like heeseung is dreaming bc he “wakes up” in the beginning as if he’s dreaming and seeing the past. another one of sunoos powers is being able to make people see whatever he wants, erasing memories, and hypnotizing ppl (he’s very powerful). sunoo does this kinda seeing the past thing in tamed-dashed japanese version, and there’s evidence of time travel throughout their music videos so ya it’s a mess. also, we are not sure at all as to why he is protecting her and why the boys are against it. some people think its because they are trying to stop sunghoon from suffering a same fate, but he thinks he is right and can do it himself. there's also parallels and connections to many of their music videos... the concept pics so far seem to connect a bit back to given-taken japanese version music video!! there is a concept photo of heeseung w a bite and blood on his neck, and he is wearing the same shirt he was in given-taken japanese version where he had a bandaid on his neck. sunoo also had a bandaid in g-t japanese version but he took it off and there was nothing there.... like he was faking almost. if you notice at the end when sunoo jay and jake are on the ground 'dead'... theres no footprints leading up to sunoo at all 👀 he has always been main #1 sus person throughout their videos so it makes sense (also all their powers aren't listed here just ones u see in the vid) also no one is really the "main vamp" per say... in the webtoon maybe heeseung and mv wise maybe sunoo but there isn't necessarily a main one
would also like to add... their powers are all accurate to the webtoon within their music videos, but they have said the storyline throughout their music videos and into this do not directly correlate to the storyline of the webtoon!

its the other way around the other 6 want to return her powers and d word but sunghoon wants to stay with her bc he loves her so thats why hes fighting them away from her. the story idea is like do you give the others their freedom from this life at the cost of losing the love of your life or do u be selfish and keep the rest miserable just to have him

Existem muitas teorias, está conectado ao webtoon deles, mas há algo sobre esse trailer que difere dele e parece novo, então provavelmente obteremos mais respostas quando o álbum for lançado, já que é apenas um trailer (8 minutos de duração, mas ainda lmao.) Também fiquei confuso ao assistir isso pela primeira vez, mas vou explicar um pouco, então fique à vontade para ler ou não 😅. Mas a teoria principal é que essa garota aparentemente é quem deu a todos os garotos seus poderes e os tornou quem são, e os garotos, exceto Sunghoon, por algum motivo, queriam acabar com sua miséria, então eles queriam que ela mordesse. eles, para que ela pegasse seus poderes de volta e eles morressem (explica porque Jay apenas deixou ela mordê-lo sem fazer nada, e a narração coreana apóia essa teoria). Isso explica por que ela estava chorando no meio e Sunghoon teve que animá-la, porque obviamente é uma decisão difícil de tomar porque isso os mataria.
