Thank so much. Beautiful rendition. As someone who's had some vocal training, I have tremendous respect for Donald Fagen, and find Steely Dan tunes to be particularly challenging to sing. You did a stellar job, along with the rest of the group.

Top 5 for me as well. Just amazing and perfect. For sarcastic bastards, they could really nail emotion in their songs when the mood struck. Don's vocal in this is one of my favorites.

Happy to finally be able to comment on this band's performances of Steely Dan's music, and to thank them all for the years of practice they put in to be able to play these songs this well. But most of all, I'm hoping Donald Fagen appreciates their work as much as we fans do.

@@stanleydee2548 I'll be grateful for whatever you choose to cover, but I'm that Steely Dan fan on YT who's been begging for years to hear a band of your talent perform the 1975 song "Any World (That I'm Welcome To)." I thought if Becker & Fagen had released that as "Katy Lied's" first single (instead of "Black Friday") it would have been as big a hit as 1974's "Rikki Don't Lose That Number." For whatever reason, it was never released as a single and Donald Fagen has avoided it like the plague in concert ... even when sharing the stage with backing vocalist Michael McDonald.
In some Songs like this one i prefer Stanley's voice. Terrific.

Superb. I love this zoom presentation. I follow Steely Dan interpretation bands on RUclips (have seen Stealing Dan live (once) and the originals many times) and am not surprised that their music has the appeal, for musicians. But one of my favourites is Stanley Dee. I have tracked every Stanley Dee RUclips performance but was always thwarted when I wanted to post a positive comment. I look forward to seeing them live soon.

Stanley Dee are superb but their live performances are undermined by rather twee dance moves. When they stuck to singing and playing - as they do here - they are unstoppable!

music is great and the singing is good but there is no emotion or soul. He even has his arms folded. Girl petting a dog is cute but makes it seems like she's bored. Singers need to really believe what they are singing.
