  • Hey gang, I worked with my landscape partner this weekend and we had some fun laying a brick edge line for this customer. Now this isn't a finished project by any means, but I wanted to show you guys what we were up to. Their whole landscaping has been overhauled this spring, from pruning, to new pavers, and soon mulch.
This was just a quick video on us working on the brick pavers that the customer wanted along the pathway. Again, we weren't done, but this was what we did on the first day. We still have to backfill around the bricks, and glue them in place. I won't be there to capture that footage, but this was a project I thought someone could learn from, even if you are a homeowner.
Hope you guys enjoy the footage. Thanks for watching!

Hey gang, this was just a fun video laying some bricks out on the edge. I wanted to add that we aren't finished with this job by any means, still need to glue the bricks and backfill. I wont be there to capture them finishing this job, but just wanted to show you what we did Saturday morning.

Good work. It’ll last through the first freeze and then they will be calling you back. Pavers need gravel base and also should be secured into place for a long lasting quality job.

Looks awesome man! Instead of using a 6' level you can lay your first then run a reference line with a line level. Then all you have to do is set your pavers to the bottom of the line and it's level. Little trick from the masonry side.

Try using ab3 limestone as your base. It will help prevent settling over time and it will help with leveling during the install

Michael Candillo Thanks for the tip! I'm definitely learning all of this. I know he levels it and backfills with slag and other materials. Love changing it up, brick work of any type is always cool to me.

I don't know much, but I do know that you need to put those pavers on some crushed gravel, sand, or stone dust. Literally anything other than directly onto the soil. Those things are going to look like set of British teeth after the first winter.

From looks of this trimming will be faster and easier. I rather trim along Brick then mulch or rocks.
