    I have had the pleasure of driving and firing this engine as part of my 40th birthday present. It was the best day ever. Excellent footage of Black Prince. Thanks for taking the time to record and post this :-)

      +rentaghost75 What a wonderful birthday present. I am envious! I shall be posting a new video of 92203 in the next few days. Filmed yesterday in beautiful weather but looking much more "weathered".

    Have apic of it at kings Cross my dad was fireman on it in the 60s it was probably still newish

    The pinnacle of the 9f’s was surely hauling the iron ore trains up the steep gradients to Consett in County Durham; there was a stretch of 1/35 at Stanley. I remember lying in bed and hearing them labouring up the slope with nine iron ore hoppers weighing best part of a thousand tons; with a banker pushing at the rear, happy days....

    black prince is my favorite engeine
