Rocky officially passed off the torch to Adonis at the end of Creed II with the fist bump and reconnected with his son and grandson. The implication is that he's retired and I'm pretty sure that it had nothing to do with MBJ "kicking him to the curb". But I do agree that Creed III could have been so much better than it was.
It was also MBJ first time directing a film. For a first film I thought it was pretty good
