I’m going to enlist after I graduate in 2025. Can’t wait to accomplish my dream of becoming a United States Marine OOHRAH!
I went through Parris Island from April-June of 1956, and I can advise you to make sure you are in excellent physical and mental condition before going to PI or San Diego. Run, run, run. Do situps, pullups, pushups, and everything else you see Marines doing on these videos. Discipline yourself. Even with all the self-preparation, you will still experience activities and mental strain you aren't prepared for, but that's alright. Your DI's will make certain you get all the instructions you need to become a Marine. Prepare to excel. Good luck.
@@danielrousseau4842 I’m currently going to the gym everyday and I’m in JROTC. Thank you for your advice and thank you for your service.
@@Dat_boi-ss8qtstay in JROTC for at least three years and you’ll be instant PFC after graduation. I leave Sunday and that’s what I did. Be above some of your peers, and try hard learning drill.
Ya man as someone who’s personally been and failed at being a marine, it’ll kick the shit out of you. I went when I was out of shape and had a bad mindset about life. Big tips are to always remember your aye/ no sir/ma’am. It’s tough as hell but shit I might reenlist when I get my waiver, so it can’t be that bad right.

67 years ago, for me, and I remember it like it was yesterday. One of my junior DI's is 90 years old and living in Oregon. I'm 86, retired in my home state of Florida.

Semper Fi! Former 0311 from the Ole Corps. Too bad we had to get rid of our tanks to make our O3 units better! But I definitely like what I see in training and equipment. Now we just need to covert to bullpup with a great trigger and continue to improve H-T-H combat.

My son went thru MCRD in 2021 and they have them send you written letters. I stalked the mail man for weeks. 😁

What's in those bags?? We didn't have that in 77 Semper Fi LFFL
All weather coat, 2 canteens, note taking gear. And for me I added cologne and my Bible. But it may vary for BN or PLT
