I really love both of these singers, but once again, Pomme has ended up as a backing singer for Aurora because of a sound engineer lowering the volume of her microphone. There are about 20 seconds of Pomme's amazing voice, and then she is swamped again by Aurora's singing. I know it was a live show, but Pomme's appearance was planned and these things can easily be sorted out beforehand by a good sound crew, unless they are told to make one mic dominant
@@zenandstimpy Correct, and what bothered me with here is Pomme is worth more than this, so I have no idea why she's appearing with Aurora if the contract set up demands a reduced voice from her, and/or to allow Aurora's voice to always be dominant.

And she's correct because I now see many comments on her videos saying they came because of having seen her on this clip. As for me I've encountered Aurora due to seeing Pomme singing with her. The question is, why has this collaboration taken place, and is it a promotion of Pomme or Aurora, or a joint endeavour where both come to the feast of stage life as equals. You seem to be advocating that Pomme came to this collaboration as the junior partner and so should be happy to accept a contract that limits her front stage input by using a backing singer reduced volume microphone in duets with Aurora, as this will bring many to listen to her songs at some future date. For me, I really dislike this dumbing down of front stage microphones because I have seen it used so many times to keep a great talent down, and in what those who do not wish them to be a star of the show consider to be their lower place, and I am both amazed that Aurora would consider this to be necessary and that Pomme would agree to accept it, regardless of the exposure. A clear night sky is full of stars, and a full moon can and does diminish them to the point where they cannot be seen, unless you were aware that they are there at that time and so go looking for them. But who looks at the stars and sees them in all their glory, or even begins to recognise their very real potential, on a night when the moon is so full of herself and so bright and enigmatic that she has to dominate the night sky..
@@passerby9123 Regardless of relative ability (which in my opinion favours Pomme) you have to face the fact that nowadays, through various influences, such as The Voice worldwide reverting to English songs, no matter which country, enormously more people listen to English singers. (I'll exclude latin american countries here as they seem to stick much more to their language, and come to think of it I as far as I know only Brazil has a The Voice) So singing in English brings even average singers to an immense audience. Not so for those who sing only or mostly in their own language. Pomme falls in that category of course, but she wants to expand her presence and this means break through in English to some extent at least. Not easy, Stromae tried and is still trying! Pomme is going to do it her way, which is slow but sure, as was her path in France. We'll see if she can make it. But to be fair to Pomme it's likely not just self promotion, Pomme has always loved to sing with other artists, and she does seem to like Aurora and is happy to sing with her. There is an interview of her talking about how her competitiveness in this domain negatively affected her well-being and she now strives to promote friendly and productive relationships with her peers. Pomme always comes clean with her inner demons, so I believe she is sincere in saying this. too high!! what is wrong with you, what happens to you, aurora, when you encounter with people? are you nervous? in another live video from the song, where you sing alone, you look more powerful, strong, self secure, calm, fearless, not so frightened. be so strong and self secure also when you are together with other people. they love you. here, pomme. she told you. you do not have to have fear for any reason. i feel almost and even sad, that you dissemlbe/hide your true self and your true feelings, in the direct encounter. you seem so unreal, so un yourself. and that is also sad for the other person. because she looks like you show yourself. you seem hard to her, you know? now i ask myself whay this hardness in you to her? remember you said once in an interview, that you did not like same age people as child and in youth. you felt misunderstood, different etc. maybe you are afraid of being not seen as you are and, of being hurt again like than.? so this would make sense. but still it is sad when you show not your real beautiful self you are and it brings nothing.

Record company and touring contracts sometimes include these restrictions and the sound engineers have no choice.
