I am waiting for the new models 16000 XTE/XSE, 18000 XTF/XSF and 20000 XTG/XSG to appear to mount them on the tow truck. I hope they appear soon, because they seem better than the original troller of the car.
Just couple of things to mention. Long shaft extending in fight with fish means that when the line is at the top of the spool, while the braking is on and fish is pulling, shaft wants to, and is easily bent. Also, with that super tight coils on the spool, once the bail wire is open, and line loses that tension from line roller. It tends to start unwinding by itself, especially with mono.
So, I bet the "rigicast" is not there for better casting, but to prevent that upper mentioned bending while fighting, shaft. The new feature explanation is there for better sale.
@@bosesebi6685 when the spool is maximally out, your linelay and pressure is on the lowest point of the spool possible. There is not a big leaver on the lowest point, so i really don’t think it can be bend that easy..
Shimano has lost and continues to lose many followers in fishing because their reels from the last few years are no longer useful, practical, reliable, due to the fact that they gave up some of the most important features. Bail Arm no longer triggers automatically when we turn the handle. This is extremely unpleasant and is becoming more and more disgusting. Of all the evolution of Carp reels, Surfcasting, Specimen, etc. and of all the features developed over the years, the Baitrunner Long Cast is and has been the most reliable and beneficial feature possible. With Baitrunner feature, gives us the advantage to set the front drag torque of the line only once at the beginning of fishing match and it can remain set for the entire fishing match. And when engaged, the spool will release the line as it was set until we pick up the rod and turn the handle, which instantly engages the front drag and enables to continue the fight. But without the Baitrunner, we would have to set the front brake on every rod, every cast, which becomes very unpleasant and a waste of time, especially when it comes to a competition where every second counts. In conclusion, a reel without Baitrunner is actually considered a spinning reel but little bigger. Shimano should take these aspects into account and produce a Baitrunner Long Cast reel for each Crap, Big Pit, Surfcasting, Specimen, etc. fishing reel model, so that fishermen can choose the right reel for any style of fishing. Then the quick brake, which is also very important, as well as the size and weight of the reel, should be as compact and light as possible. That's how Daiwa won the competition against Shimano, offering fishermen more than 10 Baitrunner reel models, of which at least 7 are Long Cast, compact, lighter and high-performance, all with automatic release of the Bail Arm when turn the handle. And bail wire always should be from solid ( not "air bail" wire ) thick wire. The heavier the better.
