I saw this live from Totality, not one video comes close to how it actually looked and felt when it happened. It was like a spiritual experience, this is a must see, put this on your bucket list. Do whatever you must to see a total eclipse from totality. Witnessing this event was a highlight of my life.

Even though I am a veteran eclipse chaser, I am struck by the beauty of each and every one! August 21, 2017. Rigby, Idaho. Totality blossoms. Planet Venus appears overhead. Low in the southwest sky, stars of the constellation Orion appear: Betelgeuse, Bellatrix, and Saiph, (no Rigel, it was lost in the haze). And the star Sirius, burns in the midday summer sky. I was absolutely without words, and I still shudder with emotion just thinking about it!
When everyone on Snapchat thinks they're an astronomer and tried to record the eclipse.....only to realize the damn camera only picked up a bright glare instead of the actual eclipse.
im jealous, i just came back from nashville 2 days ago, wish i could have seen it but SCHOOL HAS TO SAY NO... now i have to wait another 7 or 10 years to see another...
I'm guessing it didn't look exactly like in the video. There must have been filters on the camera or something. I saw totality in Kentucky, and it got dark, but nowhere near THAT dark!

This is such an amazing and epic video! What I love about this is that it shows the Total Solar Eclipse through a person's point of view on land. Most videos and pictures you find are through special cameras with a high quality zoom. But I want to also see what it's like for a person. This is so insightful so thankyou so much for this video!

The sun gets blocked for 6 mins or something like that and temp drops like 15 degrees. It's crazy how we somehow get lucky enough to get the sun every day to keep us alive. Everything around us is some how working to together all these years. I wonder what the world will be like when this happens again or unless something hits Earth and kills us off or the sun burns out

Actually there is 2 types, one is the solar eclipse that is not full (u need glasses) the other one is a full solor eclipse which alows u to see it with out the spectacles.

yea, actually I do, it happens a MIN of 4 times a year, but depending on the year, it can happen up to 7 times a YEAR. The ONLY thing that is rare about this is the fact it went completely across the US. We have many solar eclipses each and every year on this planet. LOOK IT UP

We were able to see totality in 2017 from our backyard! Just my husband and I. I still don't understand quite why, but it made me cry. And I am starting to choke up again just thinking about it.

yea, actually I do, it happens a MIN of 4 times a year, but depending on the year, it can happen up to 7 times a YEAR. The ONLY thing that is rare about this is the fact it went completely across the US. We have many solar eclipses each and every year on this planet. LOOK IT UP
