I really like this concept. The idea of Luigi attempting Mario’s attacks fits him perfectly. Personally, I’d make the vacuum his grab, and give him the strobe light for a special move or Fsmash. Luigi’s grab would come out slow, but he could use the flashlight to stun/paralyze opponents and then suck them in.
I like M&L Luigi a lot but he really embraces the support role in those games so they end up not affecting the way his character is seen much in the long run. I think if anyone had the most distinct impact from the M&L series it would be Bowser in BIS. Which is why Bowser partially represents the M&L series.
What if Luigi had a victory animation where surprised we won, than starts jumping around all happy and crying tears of joy while shouting, “yyes, I did it!”
My idea for Luigi's attributes is for him to be slightly worse on the ground, but better in the air compared to Mario. His size and weight can stay the same, still one point lighter than Mario as a middleweight. Speed will be the same too, walking and running a little slower than Mario (which I find fitting for his current running animation and his timidness when walking), lower acceleration, and lower traction. The low traction hurts and helps him at the same time, since it hinders his running skills, but can be used to wavedash and slide across the stage, which significantly improves his speed on the ground (who needs to run fast when you can slide instead am I right). In the air, he will have higher jumps than Mario (obviously), still floaty, and better air speed too, but bad air acceleration so he doesn't become Jigglypuff either. He can wall jump, but not as good as Mario can, being less skilled in that area.
I know, but Luigi clearly *can* wall jump. I figure there's way more games where he can than can't so it's a bit strange for Smash to cherry pick the one game where he can't.
hello my fellow swampert. id like to give you my take on a fun little sonic gimmick that you could use for your video if you want( its completley up to you) but the main goal of this gimmick is to get rid of his hit and run play style in smash ultimate. so what did I come up with you may be asking , well... in the OG sonic games (specifically the first 3 titles) sonics main shtick is accelearation, the more you run the faster you go. what if it was the same here. if you start running you go at a pace similar to that of ganondorf then kick it up to a ryu like speed then pace it up with yoshis run speed and then finally is sonics normal run speed in ulimate oNLY fASTer. this means you can achieve crazy high speeds but it takes so long to get to full speed that if sonic is running away as long as the opponet isnt too far away enough its possible to catch up and punish. side b can also boast this acceleration like gimmick im giving sonic and lets him use the boost, this sends sonic to his maximum speed instantley and has a hitbox while he runs , however you only gain boost by attacking directly, and if boost runs out you have a heafty amount of end lag leading to punishes, this means boost doesnt fill auto matically and allows the player to cheat the system, if they want that boost they are going to have to get up close and personal. fitting the sonic vib, and that is my take on a new sonic moveset. again feel free to use any part of this concept for your video.
But I also think it would be cool if every once in a while when Luigi fairs he says no to his inner voice and dunks like Mario which always spikes but has a lot of end lag due to Luigi being proud of himself.
luigi movement and phhysics differences with mario come from the super mario bros series. and in these games, luigi is slower (top speed) spipier, but jump higher. so its acurate.
@@sleepyswampert just said top speed because accelerations isn't so important in smash. Also the strength with witch you can decelerate is the same as the one to accelerate, it make all the difference between sora and jiggly puff, or Ryu and literally any other fighter of the same speed.

Ok friend here I will show you my idea of a new green mario moveset and if you see a movement that does not change it is because it seemed good to me: Jab: the only thing that would change from that is that in the last hit, luigi with a hit with his poltergust, that is, it would be the same but with a hit from the poltergust, instead of a butt hit Forward tilt: a hit with your flashlight Up tilt: more than an attack on luigi's mansion, it would rather be a '' redesign '' to his original up tilt only that this new parody of one of his images of the jumping more specific one where luigi is jumping and how he is from side, something side Down tilt: make a blow with your vacuum cleaner like a broom Neutral air: it would be the spin jump (so that we do not forget that it comes from Mario Bros and because I saw it and said it is, apart from referencing a little its tornado that will be changed) Forward air: this one will be strange, luigi would dangle in a chandelier but in the end the chandelier flies off like a strong projectile, don't ask how that came to my head because I'm not sure Back air: gooigi would stick his hand out and flash his flashlight Up air: this will be weird, luigi would turn on the de-darker referencing the scene where you find it in luigi's mansion 2 and it would give a paralysis effect to the enemy that is attacked with this attack Down air: it would be the pound on the ground (since, well I will say it is to keep remembering that luigi was born in the super mario bros saga) Forward smash: it would be the flash he makes with the strobbulb Up smash: it would be like samus's up smash but faster as luigi uses his firepower from one Down smash: he'd take gooigi out behind him and the two of them would flash the flashlight Forward throw: luigi would hit one of his pipe openers to the enemy and then pull it until it breaks and the enemy flies off, referring to how boos are caught in luigi's mansion 2 Back throw: it would be like hitting the ghosts in luigi's mansion 3 Up throw: it would be like throwing the enemies in its current final smash Neutral special: it would be its fire power which is like the normal B of bowser and charizard but you can move while you do it and it does not run out, and if you are in certain scenarios the fire power changes to water or ice in cold places Side special: it would be that it sucks, it can suck objects to obtain them and also enemies that would be trapped in the vacuum cleaner and you can take them and then shoot them out and you can also move while you vacuum and you have an enemy trapped, although they can escape as all special that consists in grabbing the enemy Up special: it would be that jump that gives in luigi's mansion 3 but it would give more reach and as in the game it would serve to move away the enemies that are nearby Down special: it would be obvious gooigi, the truth was that I could not think of anything more than that, it would be that luigi invoked gooigi and to make luigi not be open to attacks luigi becomes a cpu, if you handle gooigi and luigi helps you as a cpu and if you press down B again you will drive luigi again, although there is a cost, the attacks that are made with gooigi like the back air or the down smash can no longer be done or at least not as they are normally done and if you press B with shield you will make gooigi go away, although if he ends up off stage or touches water goodbye to gooigi and you will have to wait 10 seconds to use it again.
