Toaster Strudel in the microwave for 12 seconds before tossing them in the toaster is the best way to make them. The microwave takes the edge off throughout while the toaster crisps everything up to perfection while getting the filling to just slightly short of molten, mouth melting hot. Any shorter than 12 seconds and the filling is still cold/frozen. Any longer than 12 seconds and the pastry goes soggy and gross. Two rounds through the toaster will burn the pastry to an inedible state. So the only way to eat Toaster Strudel is to microwave first and then toast.
