Been watching your videos I really want to get my Recreational licence to fly ultralight and was doubting myself and putting myself down thinking it’s all to hard ect, your videos really make me want to give it a hot crack the flying part isn’t what worry’s me I’m a hands on learner it’s the written stuff, thank you for doing the videos it really spikes my confidence
Glad the videos have helped. I'm also a hands-on learner so I can relate. The theory isn't all that difficult. Repetition helps. make sure you find a school/instructor that understands your issues and ensure they can help you address the learning. The theory underpins the practical but the practical is what we do - fly. Cheers Ian
@ thanks mate, I’m here in Qld and I just found out the local Rec pilot school just closed because the instructor retired.
This was amazing to watch. I've started flight training and up to emergency circuit procedures and I am loving every minute of it. Thanks Ian for the inspiration of taking to the skies. Next time I'm visitng Mum and Dad in Adelaide I'll get in contact to go for a flight :D

Ian I am in the process of getting my sport pilot license here in the USA. I have ordered a brand new Jabiru J230D which is being put together as we speak. Do you ever get to the states to give lessons? I have already learned so much from watching your videos and imagine your training on the Jab would be very valuable.
Hi Jack. I’ve travelled to the US on numerous occasions but alas my overseas travel days have come to an end. I’ve loved to have assisted your learning for sure. Would have been fun. @@BigglesAviator Thanks Ian for getting back to me. Well maybe I can come visit your beautiful country someday and stop by for some lessons. They have completed the paint job and the interior on the new jab. There is some delay on a couple parts for the avionics but should be completed around the end of January or sometime in February. Will be happy to send you photos once complete. Have a Merry Christmas and look forward to more online lessons from you,
