Richard Fain I was at Goodwood when they first launched this vehicle. It blew everyone away, sounded like a Spitfire when driving down the main straight. It's a beautiful car but am afraid it will have problems but still an amazing piece of engineering. I'm jealous they are few and far between here in England mainly because of our crazy fuel prices. If you get a chance try to test a Jaguar F Type SVR. If you think your RR sounds good then listen to one of those babies.
Concerns over reliability are natural given the crap quality that the older RR often had, but I have 40K miles on my SVR and have had only two issues; an error light for a rear backup sensor and a compressor for the suspension having some switch go out.
I have the 2017 Dynamic with the Superchaged V8. I absolutely love it. I like the sound of the SVR, but I do not like the interior options (the carbon fiber and race inspired seats) and preferred the more refined look of the Range Rover sport Dynamic. But, I have all the blacked out options with their dark grey color with matching grey rims and the red Brembo calipers. It's a beast. 3rd month into owning it and LOVE IT. I did a TON of research before purchasing. I needed an SUV with a 3rd row that handled like a sports car, would tote the family, and also tow a fairly heavy trailer. This has it all! My last vehicle was the 15 Escalade (the new body style). I loved it, but it's NOTHING like this vehicle. This is a different animal. It turns a lot of heads when I stomp on the accelerator and the angry sound of the exhaust caches the Cayenne and Audi owners off guard. ;)
They most certainly are! We have an X5M as well, and I haven't touched it since I took delivery. My wife can drive the X5, I'll choose this every time.

I've been looking at getting a full sized new RR, but frankly I'm just going to wait as I love this truck way too much. I might just keep it forever. ;) The only things I've had go wrong are are temp adjustment wire was "pinched" so I couldn't adjust the temps - that was a quick fix, warranty. My suspension valve body went - that was a 4K part, warrantied. I replaced both front control arms (normal wear and tear). THAT IS LITERALLY IT! I beat on it, drive it really hard (like a sports car), and tow a 4ton trailer with it. Simply a great vehicle.

Soo much power and the sound once you activate the exhaust is amazing and horrifying! Its soo loud! Definitely my favourite V8 SUV!! SVR all the way!

Richard... test drove this svr today. Loved it. They told me the sport seats lack cooling function, heat only. Can you confirm that? Black seats with out cooling could be a deal breaker in the summer. good review.
You can build a RR Sport with the same spec as the SVR, but RRS interior which is what I did. It will provide the option of heated and cooled seats. The only think my RRS lacks is the exhaust port switch. Which would be awesome! ;)

This car has a worse drink problem than George Best. OK as a second car I guess. MPG viewing from UK where petrol costs a lot more than USA. I think the SVRs are made in UK near Birmingham. I'd be interested to know their long term reliability.

Yes. I wanted the fastest RR that Land Rover produces. The SVR is the most aggressive and the fastest in the RR line up. Of course, that's only my opinion.

Mike, it has heated seats but no cooled seats. Video error on my part. SVR is a great SUV even without the cooled seats.
