Pull em up, chop em down. I'm pretty sure when I first played this game that move didn't mark and I'm very happy with that change because it makes him much stronger and BH is my boy
@@tootiredforthis1 Hell, even without mark, pulling a backliner into Leper or Hellion range is hilarious! It's pretty much pre-corpse gameplay but with corpses.
Definitely appreciate all the info, I've played this game for a couple years and never thought someone would be able to make an hour long video on any of these characters
9:33 He's trading one turn to mark, so what is the upside to mark into hit next turn as opposed to double hit?... The _protection debuff._ Even if you just mark/collect back and forth it's setting your team up to slap high protection enemies for more damage. So technically it's more damage if the enemy doesn't resist the debuff (usually high prot enemies have low debuff resist, that's the whole mechanic).
Right. Also you have to factor in the idea that it’s possible to then crit with Bounty Hunter for MORE than two unmarked hits combined because of the debuff and his bonus damage. So overall it is a boost to tempo even if it doesn’t feel like it at first. It’s like castling in chess haha
There's only 1 issue with this analysis, which is that these high prot front liners are also the least threatening targets and therefore should never be your kill priority. So yes, you can absolutely mark and kill a front liner while the much more dangerous back liner does his thing(high damage, stress, bleed, whatever) or you could just target the back liner instead. That is to say by the 'tempo' you gain by removing the prot is misleading as by the time you tend to want to do that the battle is already over as these front liners without their backline support are simply not a threat to your party. This is known as the famous stall phase, which is the last place you actually want tempo in, in fact you want the exact opposite.
Ah, bounty hunter. I generally don’t pick out a “favorite” class for games, but BH would be one of my most likely picks if I did. Such a damn versatile killer. And *those crits.* Bounty Hunter one-shots might be one of the most damn satisfyingly meaty things in the game.

Haven’t watched the vid yet but I found great success earlier on the first dd mission with a occultist, two bounty hunters and a flagellant. One hunter had crimelord molars, the other was faster, basically everyone else in the team set up the molar hunter with stun, mark and bleed for him to destroy everything he hit. It was also a really fun team I recommend it
Honestly I run two hunters an Occultist and an Arb. The Arb is actually the main healer as generally with that build you only have one character getting hurt during a fight as your DOS hunter melts everything. The Occultist is there for some stuns and Debuffs as wells as emergency heals.
Big Swine guy is trivial if you bring two shieldbreakers... at the camp have them both use sandstorm camping skill (prevents the selected hero from being marked). Then you just use Adder's Kiss/Pierce while Wilbur wastes turns failing to mark and the big guy uses awful attacks as nobody is marked.
Someone you focus all your buffs on so they slap hard Usually means you bring only one dps or one main dps with all your damage bonuses stacked. So not just a carry but a hyper carry.
I definitely run BH as a controller and occasional nuke support rather than a dedicated damage dealer. I fell in love with the class again the other day when I brought him to three Crocs and they collectively got 1 (!) Apex off. Granted, he's my personal favorite (I know he isn't the best exactly), so I'm biased, but hell he can invalidate so many threats on round one between uppercut, hook, and flashbang.
I was leveling a couple characters and I had bounty hunter in the 1st position. So, "Come Hither" was one of the only abilities I could use in the first rank. I discovered that in situation where you're confident you can quickly kill something important it is amazing. I later used in against Virago in a Champion Weald dungeon and it worked perfectly. I would pull him to the 2nd rank my leper would hit him and then my hound master would finish him. It was a very efficient way of dealing with a problematic enemy.
Yes, that works. But than you could just run say a Helion instead and Iron Swan the Virago Champion instead, using just a single action rather than 2(pull and attack from Leper).
@@ShuffleFM Stress is the biggest issue, but you learn to manage stress well with this team. The stress casters tend to focus the arb, so I try and buff her virtue and stress res, all party members have stress healing when camping. I find this party can disrupt the back line just as good as anyone else by pulling one to the front with come hither and attacking the second with arb and vestal.
With the backline cleave team, you could actually put crusader on pos4 without hindering anybody else. It would further help against backline enemies by allowing 2 holy lances before settling on pos 2. Interesting idea for a team definitely!
If I'm running double bounty hunter I purposely run the DPS hunter with slow draw. I put my marker in rank four with the Unmovable Helmet and Vengeful Kill List for guaranteed pulls. My DPS Hunter is running Crime Lords Molars and Vvulf Tassel for heavy hits and Size 2 melting. First turn Come Hither back liner and Collect for quick kills on stressors and then Mark For Death more chonky front liners ones back liners are dead. The set up that let me run four dungeons in a row with the same characters were Hunter, Arb, Occultist, Hunter.
Don’t forget that BH’s mark also debuffs the target, which can benefit the rest of the team. As such marking and then hitting is generally better than just hitting twice, if we talk about pure dps. However in corridor fights, especially if the enemy is surprised, it can be more valuable to eliminate a weaker enemy esrly to get an advantage in action economy. In that case you would probably hit twice.

Is it just me or does bounty hunter seem to always want to go in pairs one taking trops mark hook and bomb the other both axe skills uppercut and Mark, so one sets up the other easily

He's a straight upgrade to HWM imo, because all of the stuns and control that he offers are just straight up better and if you're against bosses, he just shreds them
Pulling those pink fish, or drunk skeletons into rank 1 is so much more useful than stunning. They just stand there knifing my guys for less than 5 damage
He knocks you out for a few seconds. He targets you and quietly mumbles *"GET OVER HERE!"* to himself, yanking you to him, or his crew. He can flashbang even bosses with a 120% stun resistance, meaning his flashbangs are equal in strength to some big, brollic black dude named Requis pulling a bedsheet over the enemy's head and proceeds to skullf*ck them. He bleeds you from afar if you're too chunky to pull. He cleaves those he marked into Oblivion. And to top it all off, he can move f**king everywhere while boasting some decent defense to even make Crusaders proud. (Not jealous, proud. They're THICC, but not THICCER than a Crusader, and certainly not a Leper or MAA.) Bounty Hunter rocks.
My BH team is as follows. 4th Rank Arb 3rd and 2nd rank BHs with complimentary skills, and 1st rank Occultist. Healing and stress healing both are a big problem here so it's important to get off stuns as early as possible. Caltrops can be used to help Arb make quick work of the backline. Occultist is primarily there to mark and stun, and unfortunately has to play reactively to heal. Basically a good backline or a crit will turn my team into soup. I refuse to admit defeat however, and managed to kill the Hag without my BHs having finish him equipped. Let thank sink in. I am a master videogamer and tonight I dine on your mothers gush. Is it better to kill the stunned enemies first or the not stunned enemies ? In my original thought that killing the stunned enemies gets to reduce the number of enemy before they able to do anything. But as what u mentioned in this video, you said you are not going to kill the stunned enemy first. Is there any concept that I missed out in this part ?
Killing a stunned enemy basically wastes the stun. If you already removed that enemies turn then killing the enemies that can act will further remove the turns they get to hurt you with. You want the enemies to get as few turns as possible per round. Ideally 2 or less for the first 3 turns.
@@ShuffleFM thanks for the reply. For example, if my pd stunts the backliners, does it mean I should focus fire on frontliners and then settle the backliners in the next turn, ideally ?
How do you use caltrops outside of boss fights? It seem worse than mark, position restricted and target restricted to 3-4. Fights aren't long enough to get benefit of caltrops and come hither, mark or stun is way more appealing
Basically caltrops is often a weak flashbang since it’s denying an action vs slowing them down next turn, but it definitely has applications. First off, Flashbangs 150% chance is amazing but there are some enemies that will often resist it, vs Caltrops having a good chance to debuff most enemies. Then, if the team already has a fast stun with reach into the backline where all the high priority targets are already stunned/have the 50% stun resist buff on turn 1, then Flashbang is lower value. Caltrops means that turn 1 the backline action was denied via a teammates stun and turn 2 they will be slower and take more damage, making them easier to finish off. This is even moreso the case when running Plague Doctor + Bounty Hunter, since the backline will already be stunned by her so Flashbang’s value falls off somewhat. A rank 2 BH can run Collect Bounty/Finish Him/Uppercut/Caltrops and do amazingly well when paired with other stuns. Come Hither is fairly niche but pulls do allow you to take Courtiers and Shamans out of commission, and of course are huge value vs Skivers and Crocodilians.
I mean... yeah, the Jester is better. But where's the fun in that? We might as well just run vestal-jester-x-x then. Just switch out occultist for a pos2 vestal and this team might get even better. For me, synergy teams like mark are there to use underused characters that get stuck on low levels if they didn't have teams like these. The arbalest especially suffers from this, but the bounty hunter is actually pretty similar in this regard as he really wants his team in order to function. I'm currently working on a small balance mod that adresses issues like these with small skill tweaks like nerfing vestal's aoe healing, nerfing battle ballad and nerfing hwm riposte while buffing things like vestal boinks, make hwm's hook bleed instead of mark, buffing graverobber dmg amonst other stuff. Basically stuff that makes character and skills more viable while nerfing those that outshine everything else to prevent power creep.
about the arbalest move in the background footage at 2:05, I was wondering if maybe blindfire to try and kill the hog infront would have been most beneficial rather than trying for a crit heal? Its an inconsequential play nonetheless but just curious.

Cool story bro
Just lost my bounty hunter yesterday, dude was doing just fine until the stress got to him. Should've bail back then
Sorry to hear that
about the arbalest move in the background footage at 2:05, I was wondering if maybe blindfire to try and kill the hog infront would have been most beneficial rather than trying for a crit heal? Its an inconsequential play nonetheless but just curious.
It absolutely would be better in that situation if you don't need to heal
@@ShuffleFM oh my bad i didnt see that BH was missing health
@@sv_cheats3.227 no worries! Your idea was good :)
Play him as control until the boss then swap out his skills for mark 👌
Are you preparing for a challenge where you ban some character(s)?
I was thinking about it. It's a video idea nontheless.
Just helping out with that algorithm, don't mind me..
"Spy snort"
How does anyone beat the Sodden Crew or Shrieker with a mighty BH & backup?
The best team to hunt shrieker is occ/ BH/HM/arbalest
@@Allosaurus675017 1/2/3/4, with occ begining at the front
Future video ranking/discussing the best "all four characters are the same class "parties? Could be a fun one.
