i love nanga, but this jacket got some questionable design choice. for example, why neck is so wide? The tie lace mechanism on the hood doesn't wrap nicely the face while leaving some gap on the side letting cold air inside. Hood could have been a bit longer, once the hood is on the head the jacket will lift up causing a lot of stress on fabric of the shoulder and neck area. Front zip is incredibly difficult to close, I am afraid to break it...Also, sleeves could have been a bit longer. As much as i love Nanga products i quite regret purchase of the ibuki jacket. As reference i am 175 and wearing a japanese L size, the XL was insanely big.
I have this jacket and it is quite nice, but there's one big problem: the pockets. The opening is very large and high. When you put your hands in, there is an opening left at the top. Cold wind easily comes in through the top of the pocket. If the zipper opened from the bottom it would be better. Since it opens from the top, the pockets are bad for hand warming. The wind proof and water resistance is nice, of course. One other small complaint is that the hood is kind of small. Maybe I just have a big head...
Thank you for your comment. As you said, the pockets are large and the zipper opens from the top, so it might get cold. I will pass on your opinion to NANGA. The manufacturer also said that they focused on design (the silhouette when you put your hands in your pockets) and improved storage capacity. I hope you enjoy it from that perspective as well. @ thanks! I hope they came improve the jacket. I wish that mine didn’t have the problems that it does. It’s very warm and very comfortable. But after using it for a few more days, compared to the hood on my Arcteryx and Montbell jackets, the hood design is pretty bad - too short and taught at the back of the neck. So if the hood is on and you look forward, the hood slides back, exposing your forehead :(

オーロラテックスクラシックは何が違いますか？
コメントありがとうございます！クラシックといいますと、ある別注アイテムのことかと思われます。他社の商品なので比較は難しいですが、IBUKIと胸のタグが同じで似ていますね。防水素材のオーロラテックスも同じです。が、中のダウンが違うようです。定番のオーロラテックスや、IBUKIはナンガのDXダウンが150g封入となっていますが、クラシックはそれよりもパワーの低いダウンが122gとのことです。暖かさとボリューム感は落ちますが、逆に用途によっては、使いやすいと感じる方も多いかもしれません。そのあたりもチェックして頂けると選びやすくなるかと思います！宜しくお願い致します！
