Lindsey is usually chatty and cheerful but some days breaks down if I see her early morning when she’s freezing cold and has walked the streets all night to keep warm. She has schizophrenia and addiction issues. Council say they won’t house her as she’s a threat to herself… never mind the threats other people pose towards her. I often see her with black eyes where she’s been assaulted. It’s v sad
I spoke to the Glaswegian woman last year...on the prom near West end. No threat and where very friendly to me while I sat fixing my bike.
Yeah I know these people, i actually seen her, Lyndsey and the guy in blue, Paul or hobo as he's known, earlier on Friday, and yeah they're quite pleasant, 👌💯.
Lindsey is very friendly. She has schizophrenia and addiction issues. I often stop to talk to her.
Billy your a top lad , as down to earth as it gets with any of these podcasters ,good luck and GOD bless to you and all your family brother, keep up the good work
I remember visiting Morecambe back in the late 80's, early 90's . Different place back then . Sad decline.
Noticed my house walls was filmed, it should not be part of the word 'slum' it was done by local artists and school project, I don't appreciate it
is morcambe as bad as it looks on this video?
@@leeyo5494No. certain parts are. Billy may have single handedly just destroyed any plans for the Eden project !
Hey Billy, thanks for this familiar insight. I live in Morecambe. It's a sh*thole. I don't walk the streets any more - even in the daytime. One good thing is being able to stand with your back to Morecambe, and look at the beautiful lake district across the bay, wishing you lived there x
Ha ha 😆😆✌️. I live up in Heysham, got a good view of the bay, but I can see barrow out my living room window, and deffo not thinking, wish I was there, u think Morecambe bad 😆✌️.
@@MichaelParkinson-wz1nh I have only been to Barrow once. There's some nice little beaches around, but yeah, I hear you 😉

Nice to see u in town Billy hope u enjoyed your visit
Used to go to Morecambe on holiday but what has happened to our English seaside holidays?
I used to love going to Morecambe, Blackpool.
Dont think I'll bother any more
The prom is lovely it’s the back streets at the other end where this was filmed
I used to love Frontier land, my mum and dad would take us back in the 80s
It was a great day out in the 80s , i only lived 5 mile away in Lancaster and it was like going abroad, along the prom was like 5 deep, great memories, i think they had to pull frontier land down , before it fuckin fell down, especially the big dipper, remember me and me brother getting stuck at the top of the big wheel, which at that time was the biggest in the world, 👌💯✌️.
Same. The rot and decline is shocking. It looks like those films of bombed out areas from WW2.
Those crackheads need professional help in an institution. Care in the community has not worked.
I loved it, youd be there all day with your little wrist band on going on what you want as many times as you like. I drove my own kids up in 2006 and there was nothing left apart fro ruins of the old entrance on the prom. Ended up going Blackpool and spending 10x more money. Real shame though because I have lots of good memories of Morcambe fair and seafront.
@@richardallport1577 yeah those bands, and on a Friday night they were only a pound, i think they were usually a Jackson, great times, great memories 👌💯✌️.
Alright Billy 👍 the video of Morecombe is so bleak lad the homeless people are all from the UK 🇬🇧 it's quite noticble to me ,there's no room in the Inn for our own people but !!!! If your from another country your hotel is up the road it's just so ridiculous imagine us going over to France lad on a dingy do you honestly think they would put us up in a hotel and give us 3000 euros 💶 keep the vids coming there so eye opening
Makes Blackpool look like St Tropez.......
Ha ha 😆, harsh but true, and that's saying something.
Been to Morecambe twice in my life, once as a holiday as a young kid, remember it being a lovely place thought it was posh growing up in Walton, the second time 5 years ago and was a bit of a shock seeing the decline. still seemed posh compared to county road though.
Another great informative video thanks for sharing with everyone
dont think we need to say any more we used to be great but now like you said its grim and its happening everywhere slowly but surely
Damn bro i didn't think it had gotten so grim, its been many Years since i visited and was actually considering a trip but you saved me the wasted journey.
It almost looks as bad as Rhyl has gone?! It actually upset me the last time I drove through Rhyl because we used to holiday down the road in Towyn and frequently went into Rhyl on the fairground etc and I had good memories of it, the decline is so bad I can’t believe the council has let it happen.
@@Eleventhearlofmars yeah used to holiday in Rhyl and prestatyn, is that the same now as well.

I live 10 mins walk from Alexander road Bill, and this corner near the prom is the exception, Tyson Fury lives just 5 mins drive away, our street is quiet and no social issues evident, the main issues around where you filmed are highlighted really well by you , don’t know what research you’d done beforehand but if you want to see the better side of the town hit me up mate, I’ve lived here 39 years since moving from Bootle and I love it here lad

Sad seeing are seaside Towns ending like this good Vid Billy
Remember used to go on deliverys in the early 90s to barrow, morecambe, Blackpool, Carlisle etc all seemed nice places then
Morecambe is still a nice place. Bill should have visited 2 weeks ago, when it was ‘Vintage Weekend’ on a lovely sunny day. The town was vibrant, packed with fun loving tourists, classic car show, food stalls, pubs packed, a touring fairground for the children. These people would STILL have been where you chose to film, on their drink & drugs. Everyone can make choices in life… sadly some make the wrong ones.
I was in alexandra road last week delivering , police everywhere , group of drunks fighting. Mad.
yOU SAID THE SAME THING AS ME SOON AS I SAW THE BOAT,kEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
My hometown. Lived on Marlborough road Glad to of escaped it
I used to live in morecambe in the west end just over 14 years ago and it was nothing like that, its a shame to see it so bad.. you actually filmed the alley way behind our old house
Was planning a ride out from Bradford to morcambe on the hike but don't think I will bother 🤣
There’s an annual trip from Bradford to Morecambe. I think they refer to it as ‘The Bradford Ladies’ trip. They seem to enjoy it every year.. however, they don’t go where this guy has filmed. I’m pretty sure if he tried, he would find just as bad in Liverpool.
Shoulda come 5 mins up the road to Heysham Billy, you'd of got a brew and a scran mate, wounded that i missed ya I'd of liked a chin wag mate, but fair play to you, this is the parts you need to be showing, THIS IS ENGLAND, horrible that West end innit Bill, ✌️.

It's a shame Fury doesn't throw a load of his money into the place seeing as he likes it so much around there. We hear footballers doing the same thing to their communities back home but you never hear about it over here.

Hi Billy:
I'm a musician from County Durham. I'm creating a music video for a track I've written and wondered whether you'd allow me to use a few seconds from your brilliant video.
I would credit you in the video's end credits.
I should add that I make no money from the music.
Thanks

I always look on the brightside of life.
Piss heads on the streets doing no harm but they could learn to use a bin! They seem to enjoy themselves, just need somewhere warm and dry to go in winter.
Morecambe has fantastic sunsets, bags of character. Like going into an olde pirate town.. Where's Jack??
Shame you weren't able to show the beautiful mountains across the bay as it was a little hazy.
I just love the ocean. If it were inland it would be just another run down town..
I know it well mate I lived in the village for 13 years all the best mate 😎

Hi Billy, Thanks for your vid. There were actually places that you showed that looked fairly nice!. However were the homeless people were and a few of the back alleys looked untidy and horrible. It's sad to see those lost souls on the streets drinking!. To them drinking and sitting there on the Streets is normal and rationale, when most of us will see it as very sad and pathetic. @TriTr-qd2bd Manchester? Have they even done anything with it? It was supposed to rejuvenate Blackpool bringing investment into the local economy en masse. But the local council voted to encourage more tourism but highlighting the history and local traditions. So if Blackpool could not pick up the baton why not take it up the road to Morecombe.

It’s beyond words to explain how bad this country is declining and it’s the Tory government to blame. This general election can’t come soon enough in my opinion.
