  • Which one is better: a saltwater pool or a chlorine pool? Saltwater pools tend to have gentler, smoother water than other pools. And you only need to add salt to your water once or twice a year to keep things sanitized. But you’re still technically swimming in water with chlorine. Today we are sharing a tip to help neutralize the chlorine in our pool and still feel good about enjoying our pool for the summer.

    About Living Life Barefoot
Hi there, my name is Malerie. Most of my life I've lived barefoot, it's true. I grew up barefoot, I got married barefoot, I even named my Microgreens business after being barefoot. I am always barefoot! But this is not one of those channels. :)
My family and I live on a 5-acre farm, where we raise sheep, meat birds, and we have egg laying chickens. I try really hard to grow food in our raised beds and makeshift greenhouse. What I am really good at is growing Microgreens. I even started a successful business being a microgreens farmer and now I teach others how to grow micros from home and how start their own microgreen business. We homeschool our 2 boys, Gavin and Dylan and we recently started traveling. I have a passion for health and wellness and so I decided to start a channel to share it all.... while being barefoot!
So, relax, kick your shoes off and enjoy the show!

Thanks for the ascorbic acid solution as I lap swim in a large chlorinated lap pool and will use that.

Try ozone! I have that and it’s as close to nothing as we can have. Salt also corrodes the fixtures.

If there No difference is salt water pools vs chlorine(tablets)pool then why is it that some people get allergic reactions to chlorine(red skin rash) and not for salt water pool?
An example would be salt water pool, salt is at 3000ppm as per salt generator ideal range, Free chlorine 2ppm, cya 60, ph 7.6, and alkalinity 100, and chlorine(tablets) same but with no salt generator and no salt. Please explain.
